I know I already posted this topic a little while ago, and I did learn a few great solutions to get the job done., But now it seems all of them are no more working, and that includes Online video download helper - 9xbuddy, Viddly YouTube Downloader and MediaHuman Youtube Downloader. I believe Youtube did some fucking things to their backend recently to prevent ppl from illegally downloading the video. If you encountered the same problem like me or you have new better way to download the video, pls share with me and others. Your help is greatly appreciated.

@amelia I find that the current version of Viddly, available at https://viddly.net/eng12/how-to-download-youtube-videos , works just fine on Windows 10/64. The user interface is clunkier--as we expect with any "refreshed look" from over-caffeinated web designers. The install file and program folder both pass a Norton Anti-Virus scan.

When doing the install, decline all the "options" it offers. To ensure that there's no new software added to your computer without your knowledge, go to the "Apps" panel in Windows, sort by date, and see if there's anything you don't recognise having been added today.

If you have a Mac, the steps are probably similar.

PS: At one point it asks for your email, but this is for advertising purposes only, not an activation link. I tend to use "[email protected]." He must be getting a lot of spam....

I use an android phone and download tubemate app. It's not on playstore. It's in www dot tubemate dot net

It's easy to use and the dev continuously updates to let you download videos every time YouTube changes their website.

Use a USB cable. Or cloud services. Dropbox has free 2gb.
Or use a usb c flash drive that can stick to a phone. They have those models where there are 2 ends, a usb c and usb a
