@raphjd Rachel Dolezal became infamous years ago for being the president of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the NAACP.
The issue was, she was claiming to be black, when in fact she was completely white. She insisted she was black, when in fact she is white. She got access to that position as president of the the NAACP under false pretenses. She was living a lie. This is not just someone changing the color of their hair, this woman was claiming to be a different race.
People make choices about everything. What do they want to wear, whom do they like, what do they like to eat, etc. But, when someone denies their own biological reality, that is severe mental illness.You could say that everyone has some unconventional aspects to them. As long as those differences don't interfere with rational thinking, they are harmless. But, when someone does something like claim they ARE a female - when in fact they are a male - that is a major lie and deception which almost always results in disaster for both that person, and those they are affiliated with.

Biological sex and gender identification is not the same thing. Much of the latter stems from social norms and cannot be quantitatively explained. The same arguments against allowing someone to live as the gender they identify with are used against homosexuals: "it's not natural."
People are much happier and well-adjusted when they are allowed to live the way they want.

"They" also have this in their bio;
They have special expertise in LGBTQ+ inclusive healthcare, gender-affirming care, addiction medicine, chronic disease management, and care for the homeless.
That sounds like a bias in favor of the agenda of the article.

That's one way of looking at it. Or perhaps they have an "inside" view of the situation that we can't/won't understand. Honestly, I cannot imagine what it feels like to be transgendered. However, I do know what it feels like to be homosexual, and a fair number of people who say there is no such thing as transgendered are the same people who say that homosexuality is abnormal and a choice. Do I have a bias in favor of the "agenda" that it's not a choice? Or do I just know better than they do?

If gender is a social construct, how does chopping body parts off change your gender?
To be honest, I think that the vast majority of gender queers are the same people on TikTok faking medical conditions. They are just attention-seeking.
It's like the thing I started this thread with. It tries to make queer and trans people special in some way. These people would blend into the background if they didn't have their issues.

@jaroonn nobody is completely normal. However trans is extremely abnormal - to the degree where it is an unsustainable life that affects themselves and others in a negative way. People need to confine their sexuality to the bedroom and not impose it upon others. A man posing as a woman and going into the ladies room is crossing the line of acceptability.

I don't like it when gay people get lumped in with other groups of people. I am not a lesbian, I am not bisexual, I am not a pedophile, and I am not trans. For instance, trans people are insane. That is not an opinion, that is a fact. 40 percent of trans people attempt suicide every year. That is 200 times the rate of the general population. About 11% of gay people attempt suicide every year.

I don't have any issues with real trans people, but I do have serious issues with the attention-seeking whore queers.
The trans people I respect just want to get on with their lives.

The fake trans seem compelled to announce that they are trans, which puzzles me.For instance, if someone were to dye their hair to make it black instead of gray, why would that person publically announce that they are dying their hair?

Real trans don't shout from the rooftops that they are trans. They do everything they can so people don't know they are trans.
Queer trans are attention whores, which is why they want everyone to know they are trans.
Queer trans used to be called Trans-Trenders, not long ago.

Last thing they wanted is, to draw any attention ever, to [original sex].
