      Liberals love pulling fire alarms.

It reminds me of the time a University had a lecture/talk on men's mental health issues a week after they had the same thing for women. A feminist pulled the fire alarm to prevent it from happening, you know "cuz muh gender equality".

You "know" you are a piece of shit when you claim to be morally right, but lie to get away with it. Stand by your morals, you fucking losers.

@raphjd There's more! Bowman pulled down "EXIT" warning signs, conscious of guilt.

        https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/09/30/exclusive-capitol-sources-jamaal-bowman-threw-signs-warning-door-was-emergency-only-on-floor-before-pulling-fire-alarm/

Multiple sources familiar with the investigation into Bowman pulling the fire alarm in the House, which triggered a full scale law enforcement and emergency services response leading to the evacuation of the building, told Breitbart News exclusively that Bowman ripped two signs down and threw then on the ground first...

Talk about insurrection & obstructing democracy.

But then, USA isn't one - as whole world can see.

Poso notes that bowman's congressional immunity does not cover him this time:

...as interfering with Congress and breaching the peace is INSURRECTION

Votes for the stopgap spending bill:

          Republicans: 126
          Democrats: 209

Huh? Isn't that interesting? It's almost as if it were the Democrats that were trying to get the bill passed. Funny how you missed that little statistic.

Ok, so you are refusing to talk about the actual incident. TYPICAL

He is a former school principal, but he has no idea what a fire alarm is and can't read EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY on the door.

He is either a massive liar or so mentally incompetent that he should be institutionalized.

@raphjd Oh he read "EMERGENCY EXIT" - as he tore it down.

But he supposedly thought "EMERGENCY EXIT" takes him to open-air vote in sunshine by Reflecting Pool......... No.

Bowman's statement is "what lying looks like".

                • No one agrees that particular door is "usually open" or that anyone usually goes through it

                • No one agrees pulling a fire alarm will open the nearby "EMERGENCY EXIT" whose sign you just tore down

I won't put the pcitures from the CCTV because he admits he activated the fire alarm.

Why not? Here Bowman turns aside from door to pull fire alarm:

                    bowman-pulling-alarm.jpg

The signs could have confused someone with a sub-100 IQ - kinda tells them to push, PUSH through door - but still don't explain why Bowman would turn aside to PULL a WALL alarm.

For sure, door not "usually open for votes".

                    Bowman lying his ass off.

@blablarg18 In Canada, sounding or even causing an alarm to sound, whether intentional or accidental is a violation of the Criminal Code of Canada and comes with a mandatory minimum sentence. As such, it's an automatic federal (felony) offense. Under Canadian law, this would have meant game over for the guy, no matter the circumstances.

While I forget the exact wording on the Criminal Code of Canada for this, it is broad enough to cover pretty much anything. This includes causing a mass hysteria by shouting "FIRE!!!" at the top of your lungs in a crowded place. In this instance, because your actions directly caused the alarm to sound or a 911 call to be made on the grounds of fire, even if by someone else's hand in response to your actions, it is still YOU who goes down.

So given that this is the case, how this hasn't resulted in some serious legal drama is baffling to me as a Canadian.
