      https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/21/ukraine-war-kyiv-denies-wagner-claim-to-have-captured-bakhmut

      • Russia says, have pushed Ukraine forces out of Bakhmut

      • Ukraine "denies" by saying, no, we keep 1 corner plus forces outside city

See the problem? Ukraine's "denial" is like 80% yes to what Russia said.

Bakhmut has been a meat grinder, for both sides but leaked casualty figures suggest Ukraine getting it worse.

Reactions of pro-Ukraine Twitter range from denial to advocacy of WW3.

Example of people "glitching out" they can't process.

          https://humanevents.com/2023/05/22/german-chancellor-says-ukraine-cannot-currently-meet-nato-membership-requirements

Germany Chancellor wants to sell Ukraine lots of weapons...

... but NATO-wise, he is a stickler for the rules - and they rule out Ukraine membership.

(Is it still ok to stereotype Germans?)

@blablarg18 As a general rule, I would say no... Stereotypes are never a good thing as they often do not reflect the opinions, values, styles, etc of the masses, but rather only portray an image of the people that does not accurately depict the group as a whole.

              @MrMazda

Normally I would agree with you.

The problem I have is when a person has a 50-year, well-documented track record of spewing racist and homophobic comments and you still vote for them, then you obviously support their racism and homophobia.

@raphjd Why do you think I don't vote anymore.... I don't vote because I don't think any of the candidates we have running are acceptable, and thus, I refuse to support any of them.

                  Some complicated news.

A few weeks ago, Ukraine drones attacked the Kremlin.

Understandable - but also an escalation toward WW3.

Pro-Ukraine commentators brushed off the escalation saying, oh Russia false flag. They must have done it to themselves.

The news today is: Ukraine really did it. Yes it was escalation.

                  https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/24/us/politics/ukraine-kremlin-drone-attack.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes

New excuse for escalation is to say: Maybe Zelensky never knew. Maybe Ukraine rogues did it.

@blablarg18 I invite you to come to Poland and talk to the Poles and Ukrainians here about Russia and Putin. You might learn something.

Funny, my Polish next-door neighbors don't like Russia or Ukraine.

@raphjd Poland and Ukraine indeed have a complicated and tragic history. Many Poles still blame all Ukrainians for Wolyn. But they are the minority. Most Poles (in Poland) completely support Ukraine in Putin's criminal war of aggression.

                          No argument there.

@jaroonn I invite you to learn reading comprehension & so to avoid assuming I said anything here even the tiniest bit pro-Putin.

I also invite you to learn other human beings are "not you" & so to avoid appointing yourself spokesperson for all people of Poland or any other country.

@blablarg18 I didn't say you were pro-Putin. I didn't say I was a spokesperson for all Polish people. But I have lived here a long time and talk to a lot of them and read the news here and know how most Polish people feel about this war which is why I invited you to come here and find out for yourself. You seem to think you know a lot about every topic enough to comment on it. Do you have some special gift. And as far as critical reading skills are concerned....seriously, dude?

"I didn't say..." - Correct. You merely implied it.

I never said you said it, rather, I implied you implied it.

Keep at that reading comprehension! 😛

@jaroonn PS. If you are in Poland - if - tell us what a country is like that

                                  • enforces borders
                                  • refuses illegal immigrants
                                  • has plenty of prayerful Christians
                                  • hates communism
                                  • defeats libs in elections
                                  • doesn't look down on white people
                                  • is looked down on, by rest of EU

The country is strangely (to you.... but to us, obviously) peaceful, now isn't it?

@blablarg18 Oh, blablah. You really are a simple creature, aren't you? Just Boebertesque in the conviction of your very limited knowledge. Well done for thinking you've summed up Poland in seven bullet points and, get ready.....a TWITTER post!! I'd love to read your dissertation.

@jaroonn I love your obtuseness - how you evade points by just not understanding.

& Love your nerve - how you, as a lib, speak for country that follows Trump-y policies with good results, & hope people won't notice what u just did.

                                      HAHAHAHHAHAhhahahaha! 🤡

@blablarg18 The fact that you think anyone ignores addressing the ridiculous points you raise because "they don't understand" is just precious. Keep the clown face. Very fitting.
