Hi. Can't seem to find my answer on here so sorry if I'm duplicating a question. What is considered a fair donation of seed points for someone if I download their torrent? I don't want to be stingy but I don't want to give away my bonus willy nilly either. Is there a guide anywhere?

‘Seed Bonus’ is a way of encouraging members to seed files.
The bonus is computed on how many hours you leave any files on ‘seed’.
For every hour you have a file (or multiple files) seeding you get .5 points for every hour. In other words you get ONE point for every TWO hours you seed!The bonus you get depends on your choice.
There are four levels of ‘bonus’ (the bonus is the number of GB’s that will be added to your “Total Upload” number.
The levels you can choose from are:Seed Bonus Points - Upload GB Bonus
100 - 1.0 GB
200 - 2.5 GB
350 - 5.0 GB
600 - 10.0 GBYOU chose when and at what level you want to get your Bonus Points,
just click on the “Seed Bonus” and it will allow you to select to use your points to increase your upload amount and thus improve your ratio.Remember that your ratio is calculated as upload amount divided by download amount.
So increased upload will also increase your ratio.- Seed bonus points can be used to put a torrent on freeleech status for a certain period of time.
Freeleech torrents do NOT count against your ratio (download amountl) as long as it remains on freeleech.
Seed bonus points used to put a torrent on freeleech are not given to the original uploader,
but are instead is a community donation for freeleech by all users.
If you upload a new torrent, you might get rewarded by other users with seedbonus.

'anything will be appreciated'....@ianfontinell unless it's from guys like Mike something who rewards you with only ONE seed point only, where you get the feeling he wants to provoke you.

@davis94 one could see that way. Or perhaps he's taking the iniciative so that other people see that this torrent has been awarded something and that might encourage more people to do so.

@ianfontinell I agree. The referenced member leaves a LOT of one-point awards, and it's possible that he uses and needs the seed points to trade for GBs and keeping his ratio above water.
In this case, splitting his 2 seed points may be considered generous, because as earlier noted, most downloaders don't "tip" at all.
It's likely that a portion of members don't realize (or care) that after an uploader with a modest Internet speed gets their "1.0" for his completed file(s), he may pick up very little extra traffic once he's in competition with dozens of more powerful seeders.
If your ratio is solid and you enjoy what you downloaded, it's a nice gesture to donate seed points. And, I received a vision from (insert deity here) that you will get a fluffier cloud in the afterlife, or if reincarnated, something with a very, very big penis.
