Do the mods throttle/slow certain torrents so that they fail?
-
I have a torrent that is being super slow to seed...to the point that I think something suspicious is going on.
Earlier torrents I posted today uploaded great. Torrents I download...download fine. I only watch tv through my fire stick and I'm able to do that fine...so I don't think the problem is a bandwidth or speed issue on my end.
But I know the torrent I am trying to seed is from a studio that gets DMCA complaints. The other torrents I uploaded today gave me no problem...but this one is taking 10 times longer to seed than seems to be normal. I have like 60 people trying to download it but after 2 hours I think the most anyone has downloaded is 22 percent.
Am I being sabotaged? If I am I would rather know about it so I don't bother wasting time posting torrents that aren't going to be seeded.

@semurg30 No staff has the ability to control or modify the rate at which a torrent transfers. If you have the URL of the torrent, I could look a little more into the matter and see what's going on for you.

@semurg30 how how do people come up with these lunatic ideas that they're being sabotaged on something that's not giving them any advantage or income related to others nor do other people benefit sabotaging them? This is nuts.
A little more knowledge on how torrent works would suffice to end this nonsense, so here it comes: you can have a 10GB/s upload speed, if the people downloading only can download at 100kbps that's as far as your upload speed is gonna get. If there are 60 people likely each of them is being sent a different chunk of the torrent, meaning that you are not the only one uploading and everyone's downloading and uploading each other's chunks, you might not have sent 100% to a single person but each of the 60 have received a different part that makes it possible to complete the torrent without the need to download from you necessarily.

@ianfontinell Hell, people here do it anyway. I like people here who leave rude comments on the video's quality and think they're a bunch of know-it-alls. Okay, fine. Go to Gay-Top.Net filled with watermarks and have on at it. Besides, torrents here are dropping dead like flies anyway. People are generally rude anywhere you go except for the holidays. Maybe.

@djsoapbubble It's not just here... Anywhere on the internet, especially anywhere with a comments section is often full of trolls and people who just want to get a rise out of other people. It's really sad what this world has come to at this day and age.

@MrMazda Haha! Tell me about it. The keyboard courage tinker fairy magically flies in from the crack of their bedroom window and swirls her magic wand around. POOF! You're a rude asshole.
-
@djsoapbubble you misspelled a word. you meant F00F not POOF

You can see that in the so-called "Politics and Debate" section in this forum. Fortunately, one can block it out.
I have a Firefox add-on called "Shut Up Comment Blocker" that blocks comments on most sites (available at https://rickyromero.com/shutup/ ). It can be toggled on and off for each domain. I have it active on YouTube, which is a magnet for vicious and idiotic comments.

@lololulu19 LOL! It produces whatever sound turns them into a "keyboard courage" asshole. If it's the sound of a quief, then hooray! Hahahaha!
