Tracker not works - unable to connect to tracker
-
Hey, I am using Transmission latest version and few last days (dont know exactly), zero torrents works for me.
In my tracker I have:
1000 torrents with tracker: http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710//announce
550 torrents with tracker: http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710//announceNone of them works. Other torrent sites are working fine, so I do not expect problem on my side.
What is happening? Anybody else with this problem?
-
Sorry, the bold encoding edited the links. They are:
1000 torrents with tracker: http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710/(my secret here)/announce
550 torrents with tracker: http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/(my secret here)/announce -
@ivcrn2 It seems that you are actively connected to the tracker, are seeding many torrents, and even in the process of downloading 2 of them. Are you still having an issue? If so, is there an error message you get? If there is, what is the message you get?
-
@MrMazda Hey, thanks a lot. I got it work. I dont know why, but my torrent port has been closed. I opened it and it works again .))
-
Okay, the problem is here again. I have switched tracker link in all torrents to the new one (tracker.gaytor.rent:2710). It worked when I was fetching a few torrents in one time (about 10). Now after enabling all the torrents (about 1600), no one works.
I think my IP address must be blocked, maybe because of large of connections.
The same torrent file with same tracker URL works when accessed from different IP address.Could you please check what is going on? I need to seed
-
Okay, I got it finally working. My router had maulicious DNS set, all works now.
Sorry for disturbing, zero problem on your side.
You can remove this topic. -
@ivcrn2 It's all good...
Properly set DNS is a critical thing to making sure things are in working order. It's good to know you were at least able to determine the cause of the issue.
As for IP address issues, there is a way to check to see if this is the issue. When it's not working, open a web browser and point it to this link:
https://tracker.gaytor.rent/stmdd/
If a stats page loads with the tracker back-end stats, then it is not your ability to connect to the tracker back-end, however if the page fails to load when it's not working, it means that you're not able to reach the back-end, which may mean your current IP address is being blocked by our DDoS protection software.
When this happens, the easiest fix is to use a VPN, or if you're already using a VPN, you may need to change VPN server locations to get it going again.
-
@MrMazda thanks a lot for your support, I appreciate that. Its good to know about this URL where I can check my connection to the backend, I will save it for the future.
-
@ivcrn2 Hmm.. so you like to check out the connection made to your own backend? I wonder how common this is. For instance, I have a cyber friend whom everyone in his life thinks is straight, but he shares his gay side with me, and only me. I was the one that pointed out that his last girlfriend was an evil cunt succubus sent from hell.. and he found out the hard way that I was CORRECT. I think she turned him off on females for good.
He seems to have developed an admiration for his OWN body. I wonder how many "straight" guys have taken a look at their own ass with the assistance of a webcam? -
Hi, it's been a few days since I was able to connect to the tracker, I have over 700 torrents seeding, very few are connecting to the tracker, I've checked my router and manually opened the port just to make sure, DNS is also fine, the linked website above also loads fine, I've tried redownloading a few of them and add them again but no luck.
-
@PojuLover I see you actively seeding 5 torrents. Those torrents do not have any leechers though, so it may be difficult for the current moment to get active upload traffic on them. Are you still having this issue? If so, what error message are you getting from the tracker?
-
@MrMazda Yes, as I mentioned, very few torrents are seeding, however I cannot download any new torrents either, there is no error message on my torrent client, it simply says "Updating..." under the Trackers Tab on every torrent I'm trying to seed and download.
-
@MrMazda Not wanting to be a bother, but the issue persists and I can't find a way to fix it, everthing works fine on my end, even downloading from other private trackers, it's just not working with this one, I've been unable to seed and download for quite a while now, thank you for your time.
-
@PojuLover The only thing that comes to mind is something to do with your queue settings. Perhaps there's a maximum number of active torrents setting that needs to be changed? I'm racking my brain trying to come up with an explanation.
-
@MrMazda Thanks for the reply, allowing more downloads to the queue has no effect, the status remains "Finding peers 0.0 %" and tracker remanis "updating..." , it's a shame, I don't mind waiting but I also can't find a way to fix it, it was working fine about a week ago or so.
-
@PojuLover Just out of curiosity, was there an update to BitTorrent before this happened?
-
@MrMazda In fact it updated two times since then, I'm using µTorrent 3.6 (build 46590), I went ahead and downgraded to 3.5.5 (build 46552), which actually works better and started seeding / downloading most of the torrents but it's still finicky, since I use µTorrent 2.2.1 exclusively for private anime trackers I decided to try on it, no surprises there, downloads and seeds perfectly and instantly, so this might answer everyone else's problem as well, using an older or different bittorrent client might be the best solution here.
Now if you don't mind me asking, which bittorrent client would you recommend? I took a look on reddit and it seems Tixati is the most popular amongst users recently, although I'm also posing myself the question as to how am I going to migrate 1461 torrents to another client.
Again, thank you for your reply and time. -
@PojuLover said in Tracker not works - unable to connect to tracker:
since I use µTorrent 2.2.1 ... downloads and seeds perfectly and instantly,
Thanks, I'll give this a try. Is there any trick to installing the older version on top of the newer one? Will it keep settings, and then delete the newer version? I don't want to lose everything while doing this.
-
@eobox91103 I am not sure if going all the way back to version 2.2.1 will keep all settings (including torrents, etc), I did downgrade to 3.5.5 (build 46552) by downloading it here: https://utorrent.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions installing it, upon starting µTorrent it asked me if I was sure I wanted to downgrade or keep using µTorrent 3.6 (build 46590) which I chose downgrade, it kept all settings and torrents.
Version 2.2.1 can be downloaded here: https://archive.org/details/utorrent_2.2.1_build_25302 , but be aware that I use it exclusively for a anime private tracker that specifically requires this version, it's very old and it's bound to have security issues and bugs, it works fine for me and is much faster connecting and starting downloads than version 3.5.5 (build 46552) but again, I wouldn't personally use it if not for the anime tracker requirement.
It took a while but 3.5.5 (build 46552) has now successfully connected every single torrent to the gaytorrent tracker successfully.
-
@PojuLover Thank you very much! I thought I was using 3.5.5, but now I see that it automatically installed 3.6, so I'll go back to 3.5.5.
