A musical film “The greatest Showman” 7/10
not very good and not bad. the same time last year I watched “lala land” which is much better than this one. -
2. God's Own Country (2017)
Now I know why this movie called as UK's Brokeback Mountain. In many ways, the plot similar to each other. The different probably is the origin of the two lead characters, they live in their own lives, their own country, their own bitterness, their own denying, their own story. But, unlike Brokeback Mountain, they found their own live together at the end. I think you know what I mean
8/10:true: I am so loving this 8/10

7/10
Enjoyed it the first part plenty, what followed tears me into loving or hating the film.
! If you are even slightly familiar with the bible, you’d know it’s an allegory. A large part of the experience is waiting to see how Arronofsky would weave the tale with his film-skills (I dunno, directing?).

As a follow-up to your comments on Mother!, DCLXVI, I went to see it with virtually no prior research, including no media reviews.
Even though my school days included much reinforcement of the "Spoiler" angle, it went completely over my head during the viewing. I walked out perplexed, and would have assigned it a "5."
I have plans to view it again, and already know that my "number" will be higher the second time around.

I saw "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" and "Mazerunner: Death Cure" yesterday.
My problem with a rating system is that I didn't enjoy the 'better' movie. So, reviews.
3 Billboards: Very well acted - especially by Frances McDormand. The dialogue writing was wonderful. But after a surprising plot twist they stopped having realistic ramifications for the characters' actions. Minor characters felt like plot devices rather than people. It's won a lot of Golden Globe Awards and will most likely win an Academy Award.
Death Cure: Well acted, particularly by the lead Dylan O'Brien. The viewer needs to have seen the first two movies - and even with that the story is a bit of an mess. The emotions ring true and I enjoyed the action scenes a lot.
The core emotional relationship in the film is between the male lead and his best friend - but like so many movies "homosexuality" doesn't seem to exist in the world. I'm looking up Newt/Tommy slash.

Saw Coco (2017) and I Loved it! Its a full 8+++++/10. Everything on it is awesome, the story and acting and the colorful and of course the music. I'm also in live with Dante cute dog haha. I vote this movie to win Best Animated Feature Oscar.
-
I think Coco is my favourite movie of 2017. I also liked the cute dog (and cool cat.)
-
To Live (1952), or Ikiru (original title) by Akira Kurosawa.
An absolute masterpiece, one of the best I've eve seen. (9.5/10)

Since I find Timothée Chalamet a cutie, re-watched two of his earlier films
One and Two (2015) and The Adderall Diaries (2015). Both (personal opinion) are average films but amazing acting, both 5.5/10 story but 7/10 in acting
-
I, Tonya (2017). It was hilarious yet poignant. 8/10.

Schindler's List (9/10)

1. Justice League (2017)
When I looked at IMDb and saw the 6.9 ratings, I totally understand why this movie is highly overestimated. And I agree, its lile there is something in the story that missing like a giant hole that put every plot apart from each other. The Superman resurrection also a little bit odd. But, overall its watchable. I put 7/10 because I like DC characters.2. The Ritual (2017)
I like horror and I like the idea of this movie. I was actually quite terrifying at the beginning at the old abandon cabin. But, I don't like the ending. How you suppose to fight an ancient god like that and it just didn;t feel right. 6/103. Lady Bird (2017)
A clever movie. Greta Gerwig put her best so far. Saoirse Ronan acting also awesome, she's really close to Oscar this year. 7/104. Permission (2017)
I like the idea, about a couple, straight and gay couple, trying to test the stronghold of their relationships. But, guess what? Nothing but break. 5/10 -
Coco (2017) made me feel, and tbh, that's a difficult task for a movie to do in such a short timeframe. 9/10.

I finally saw Jumanji II. It's better than my expectations. I'd give a a 4/5 on the basis of Jack Black's performance of a hot teenage girl in a middle aged (ugly) man's body. He managed to give the character some depth and development without breaking the body language or vocal mannerisms of a teenage girl.
Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves - which can make a fun movie more fun. Joe Jonas did a good job of playing a cute guy who discovers himself attracted to a tran-woman.

8/10
A gorgeous film. Fell in love with Andrews (somehow I feel gayer), she is just a joy to watch.
PS. I'm a couple of decades late, I know.

So, finally I saw Call Me by Your Name (2017).
It's a beautiful film. A romance, a realistic ones, not like most of the romance movie with unrealistic plot, this film is catching every drops real feelings and emotions when you falling in love. Plus Timothée Chalamet awesome performance in his age and Armie Hammer finally find a spot for his highest performance so far. I guess, the last 20 minutes of the film is the most moving scene. Thanks to James Ivory for beautiful screenplay. I just realize that he also write Maurice that always in Top 10 best gay movie so far. When I saw Maurice for the first time, I cried because its really powerful and the ending is devastating.
But, many people probably will not agree with me, I think the film its really that powerful. I mean, if I can compare to Maurice which I rated 9, I rate Call Me by Your Name (2017) 8/10 or Brokeback Mountain 10/10.
Moonlight took the best prize last year, it could be happened again this year, with one note, Luca Guadagnino win Best Director.

Call you by my name (9/10 Happy atmosphere) (6/10 act)
this movie makes me remember my first and only male-love. back to the college time. at the same hot summer but different fortune. he helps me go out of depression, that’s the first time in my life feel someone really care about me. time goes fly, each of us have owned family, but I still remember that summer. he is my brother. I can’t tell him that he is my lover forever.

The Shape of Water (2017). Beautiful and mesmeric. 8/10.

Saw Ferdinand (2017) last night. Few minutes of the movie, I suddenly remember a Pulitzer winning novel with similar plot, The Yearling, and adapted to movie The Yearling (1946). Mostly I like the idea of the movie, but I saw too many bully going on in the movie, its funny but not really recommended it, especially to children.
6/10 -
7.8/10
I haven't enjoyed a coming-of-age so much since The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015).
8.5/10
A dramatic comedy, and a funny drama. I think the film's DVD trailer described the movie similarly. And that's exactly what it is. And I enjoyed every goddamn second of it.
8/10
It took me awhile to get into the movie's pace, but when I did, hot damn. Enjoyable.
PS. I use the word 'enjoy' and its variants quite often.
