Norway "bow and arrow" terror attack
-
A Danish national and recent convert to islam, killed 5 and injured 3 others.
The suspect has admitted to the murders.
He was known to the police prior to the terror attack.
Police say he converted to islam and radicalized while living in Norway.

@raphjd He has Norwegian and Danish parents, but has never lived in Denmark. Also he is mental ill, and has a long history of that. It is way more likely than he has murdered these people because of that. The Norwegian police thinks also the same. And he wasn't radicalized, but he is very ill. I have actually seen that myself before with radicalized nazists, who just was very ill.

Thanks for the update/correction.
It's weird that the UK news was saying the stuff I posted.

In my experience, it's not uncommon for media (MSM as well as right- and left-wing media) to get significant facts wrong when initially reporting on major events. They're in such a hurry to be first they bypass their own standards of fact-checking and verification.
Not finger-pointing at any one source or side here: it's universal!
The real crime is that they bury the corrections where no one will see them.
Ours is a FUCKED UP world these days... and Social Media and the 24-hour News Cycle is a big part of what's wrong with it!
IMHO, news outlets - whether professional or private (meaning even individuals posting "newsy" stories in social media) should have to pay a fine - commensurate with their level of profiteering - for getting facts wrong. The more facts you get wrong, higher the fines.
Want to write an opinion piece? Say it is that at the beginning. Writing a piece about breaking news? Say that your information is unverified.
Of course, this would be a "sticky mess" - after all, who decides whose "facts" are right these days? Not to mention it runs counter to the 1st Amendment...
A "perfect world" wouldn't include as many freedoms - because one of our most basic freedoms is the right to be wrong!

As of 2 days ago (18 Oct 2021) UK media is saying that the victims were not killed with the bow and arrow.
The police have said that while he did shoot at people with his bow and arrow, at some point he either ditched the bow or lost it.
The injured, but not killed, victims were shot with arrows.
The dead victims were stabbed with a "sharp object" but the police would not elaborate further.
The people attacked were random, according to the killer.
Mental illness, not converting to islam, is the main cause, but the police refuse to comment further. It reminds me of how, in the UK, they can be shouting islamic terroristic phrases while committing the crime and the police and government tell us it had nothing to do with islam.
The killer is still being called a "Danish citizen" by the police.
NOTE: I have read various UK news outlets of various political leanings and the above is essentially the same in all of them.
