We Survivors of Authoritarianism Have a Message America Needs to Hear: This is Exactly How it Happens, and It’s Happening Here.
This is not a joke. This is not a drill. When we survivors of authoritarianism experience, as a group, a class, a cohort, something that we never, ever should — the horrific deja vu that the horrors of our childhoods, that our parents knew, are happening, all over again, here, something is much, much more wrong than you know.
Crucial institutions have already been captured by the extremist factions who stand against democracy.

Nah, you're gullible, ignorant, and violent, and one day you'll wake up handcuffed to a hospital bed with "PUSSY BITCH" crudely tattooed on your forehead and cry not because of the pain from the surgery to reconstruct your anus, rectum, and large bowel, but because you know you'll be safe for the few days you'll be in the hospital with a federal officer sitting in a chair outside your room.

The quotation from the original poster was taken from an author who grew up in Pakistan. He has credibility as a "survivor of authoritarianism."
Many people in the US don't know what authoritarianism is like. They need to put down Faux News and read about–or even visit--Russia, North Korea, Belarus, etc., etc.
It would also help if they got back on their meds.
