There's a torrent I've reported a few times now because it's basically my material but I haven't given permission for it to be uploaded and it's essentially revenge porn. Is there a way anyone can contact me regarding it being removed please?

Use the "Helpdesk" link in the drop-down menu under "Support" at the top of the page to message a moderator and give them as much information as possible.

Is it "essentially" revenge porn or is it revenge porn? You seem rather indecisive about it.
Also beware if you're going to DMCA something on the site be aware that person who uploaded it has the opportunity to counter. If they do the ball is in your court as the copyright claimant to show you've started legal action against the uploader or the content is re-instated.
I suppose you can ask nicely to have the content removed but the site is under no obligation to remove the offending content.

I asked a simple question and got a snotty answer, it seems. It's revenge porn. It's my property. Luckily, a moderator has contacted me to ask about which torrent it is. At least someone has some compassion.

Just to be clear, we take the privacy of our users very seriously. As such, we take complaints of revenge porn very seriously. In fact, under Canadian law where I am, The Criminal Code of Canada s.162.1(1)(a) is very clear that revenge porn is a federal crime, and that it is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Many other commonwealth countries have similar laws surrounding the subject. This is a large part of why we take these claims seriously.

In fact, under Canadian law where I am, The Criminal Code of Canada s.162.1(1)(a) is very clear that revenge porn is a federal crime, and that it is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Many other commonwealth countries have similar laws surrounding the subject. This is a large part of why we take these claims seriously.
There's no federal law in the U.S. but it is a crime in almost every state, from misdemeanor to felony.

The only laws the site is bound by are those of the country it's hosted in… Which in this case appears to be Russia. If the site admins have used local laws in their country as justification for removing content it's a courtesy not an expectation.

Actually, no… The domain is Russian, however the site is hosted elsewhere.

The site owner doesn't need any justification at all to remove a torrent. Seems like in this situation it is because doing the right thing is important, not because of any law.

Actually, no… The domain is Russian, however the site is hosted elsewhere.

I think there's a disconnect here between the point I've been making and what you all are choosing to interpret… I didn't argue that the content should or shouldn't have been removed or that the admin made a poor choice in doing so. The site can deal with situations in any way they see fit. That said depending on the circumstances, taking action may be a courtesy, rather than a strict obligation or expectation.
Obviously when it comes to legality the jurisdiction is law within the host country, which is the minimum standard the site is held to. However if site admins want to go above and beyond, because they feel morally obligated, there's nothing wrong with that either. However as members we really are at the mercy of whomever is making that call in those cases.
