Canada state TV edits out Trump from HOME ALONE 2
-
As mentioned in another thread, CBC edited out Trump when it ran HOME ALONE 2 on Christmas.
In the other thread I was informed that they also did it in 2014.
This doesn't change my claim that they are biased, despite their claims otherwise.
NOTE: I made this thread as it might derail the other thread, if left there.

One news programme said that many films have been shot at Trump-branded properties over the years, and one condition he places on the location agreement is that he have an quick on-screen cameo appearance. The programme went on to say that virtually all of the films edit out his scene before the final cut is produced.
I haven't seen "Home Alone 2," but the programme seemed to imply that Trump's cameo remained in the final version for cinema release, and that the broadcaster edited it out when the film was prepared for television. Editing a film for television is a complex art, as films usually need to be shortened, and pauses inserted for commercial breaks to satisfy contractual obligations. If the Trump cameo wasn't essential to the story, it would be candidate for the bin…as apparently it has been in many other films, even before his political career.
All that said, I don't know whether this was the result of political bias or not: I don't watch television, but I know that television and radio broadcasters are all over the political spectrum. Perhaps the broadcaster here was following the usual editing protocol, or perhaps they wished to avoid controversy.

I could see your point if it was commercial TV. But this is state tv.
I've seen the full version of HA2 in the UK, on commercial TV. They padded it out with commercials to make it fit a normal slot. That being said, I can see if they want to trim it a bit to make it smaller for money reasons.

It's been airing like this on CBC for years. The edit was made in 2014, Trump wasn't even president…

Uh-oh, you brought a fact into the debate. Derailment coming in 5,4,3,2,1…

Clearly you are referring to how you derailed the conversation by posting that garbage.

I'm derailing by pointing out what you and the others always used to do on here when you couldn't win an argument? The edit was made in 2014, rendering your argument invalid. Unless you want to make the false argument that our current president* began his term prior to 2014.

But our post is still bullshit because no one said anything in 7 weeks, so you are ust being a twat.
BTW, despite the unconstitutional actions of your party, Trump is still the President an will be for another 4 years.

How is that relevant to the point that he wasn't president in 2014? I know conspiracy theorists love to distort history but we all know this current president* wasn't the president in 2014.
*impeached forever by power given to the House of Representatives via the Constitution

Ok, you derailed the discussion so you could prove that the discussion would get derailed. Good on ya.
