President Obama's New Redistricting Organization

President Obama has announced a new effort to help the push for fair maps when it comes to redistricting. While some have already gone down the conspiracy theory route, as always when it comes to President Obama, I am all in on this fight. It is time to finally redraw maps in a fair way instead of the way partisan operatives have been doing for the past two decades. This has been a problem with both Democrats (Maryland) and Republicans (everywhere else) and I'm glad President Obama is ready to organize and help get rid of super-partisan gerrymandering.

Obama needs to go away. Imagine how butt hurt you and your fellow lunatics would be if GWB and other former Presidents constant criticized Obama while he was President.
MAGA isn't about white supremacy, except to lunatics. It's about the US having manufacturing in all sectors like we used to have. It's about ending NAFTA. It's about getting all NATO nations to pay their legal obligations of 2% of GDP, instead of letting them pay as little as nothing and the US topping up NATO's funds.

I am against the unfair gerrymandering practices Democrats have used in Maryland and I am against the unfair gerrymandering practices Republicans have used everywhere else. President Obama is right, it's time to draw districts fairly and let the chips fall as they may.

Maybe Obama and others who think they are still in office should have done something about it while they were in office.

And most modern presidents have released their tax returns. If Trump gets to ignore a standard that has been around for a long time, then President Obama can argue against and start initiatives to counteract white supremacist MAGA policies instead of stepping back from the political landscape. :cheers:

I am not a victim. I simply don't have the luxury to overlook the fact that one misperceived move in this country could get me killed because I am black. You can use your one example all you want but you cannot tell me what my experience has been in this country nor can you tell any black person what their experiences have been in this country because you'll never know what it is like to be black. Black cops are the most likely to shoot and white cops the least likely to shoot, with the other races in the middle. It's only about a 5 point difference, though.
We've talked about this several times before here, so you can go back and look at those threads.
For some reason, there seem to be no records for shooting but not killing a cop by race of shooter. We do know the numbers of cop killers via shooting by race.
Blacks kill cops 4x their portion of the population.
Blacks are shot (killed or wounded) by police at 2x their portion of the population.
Blacks commit just over half of the violent crime despite being only 13% of the US population.
MAGA for most people is about bringing jobs, namely manufacturing jobs back to the US, except to the liberal identitarians who believe EVERYTHING is white supremacy. You're a piece of trash just like all liberals. You falsely make claims why people support Trump. It was Bill Clinton that signed into law the 3 most homophobic laws in US history. It was Obama that race baited everything. It was Hillary that demonized everyone who wouldn't blindly vote for her vagina.

i just wish america would join the other western democracies and get rid of the electoral college and have popular voting instead. as i understand the electoral college was implemented in the 18th century because of issues with slavery in the south of america. i would think an electoral college has no real purpose in the 21st century.

wikipedia is a great source of peer-reviewed information. if any fact lacks a citation it is shown and controversial pages are being fact checked continuously. but oh yeah, "fact checking" isnt really that popular with alt right media, i can see why someone from the alt right could be confused about fact checking.

You must be totally clueless that you can't understand how a couple of major cities and California (southern 1/3rd) would rule the US in a popular vote for the President.
Do you really think people living in cities care about farmers and those living in small town America? I have lived in a small town and major cities. City people are greedy and only think about themselves.
We already see people in non-city areas being forgotten, under the current system. It would be far worse if the President was only chosen by the major cities.
The US is 228 bigger than Denmark and is far more mixed than. 350+ million people vs 5.6 million people.
