Probably because the overwhelming majority of incest is between a coercing adult (usually male) and a underage child (most often female). There is indeed a pretty strong link between pedophilia and incest.
Incest between two consenting adults is much much rarer. However, it is not technically illegal in most western countries (including USA) as long as you don't expect to get a marriage license.
Personally, I don't care what people do as long as they are both consenting adults. I don't understand being attracted to relatives, but then I also don't understand fetishes like leather, rubber, furry . . .the list is endless.
Of course, I'm not arguing against that, but how is that subject relevant to this thread?.. I don't see anyone here advocating for pedophilia, why bring that up and start calling others "degenerates" when people were just having a friendly conversation?.. I want to know the reason, why exactly is it unmoral and why does it justify homophobia?(the question isn't necessarily directed at you but at the people who are being so vocal about how disgusted and offended they are).. and yes, I'm still talking about an adult-adult legal relationship.

That being said, I personally don't see anything morally wrong with incestuous relationships, as long as it's not producing offspring. Realistically speaking, we're all products of incest - there's no other way that our species could have survived. The only reason it's looked down upon now is because it's bad for the gene pool, and also because it's seen as an "antiquated" practice.

You know that it's bad if you talk like all heterosexuals are bad. I think we all need to respect others if we want respect from others. Also that is also a bad way to say it, just because someone does something bad, it doesn't make it right you to do that too. I'm sorry, but that's how i see it. Also i want to point out that gays and heteros are same. Every human person is equal and deserve to be respected, but if that person does something horrible, they can't be respected. Respect is earned and not given just like nothing and opinions need to be respected too.
Also lastly that about we all are products of incest, it doesn't mean we need or can continue doing that. Something that was okay in far far away in past doesn't mean it's okay these days.

No, it's also because such relationships are troublesome from a psychological perspective. A parent becoming a sexual partner changes the dynamic of a relationship in ways that cannot be undone. And let's be realistic, a father interested in having sex with his son is not going to wait until he is an adult to (a) begin fantasizing about it or (b) to begin acting on it. How would you feel if you learned your dad was only spending time with you because he thought you'd be a good fuck?

I don't see how that anyone's business, if someone chooses to enter a potentially destructive relationship it's their own choice to make.
If you're taking advantage of a minor you're breaking the law.. however, in the case that there's no sexual abuse the relationship would be justified. Regarding your question, I would feel disgusted because he's in relationship with my mother and because I'm not attracted to him. But what about a case in which there's no mother figure and the son feels an attraction too?.. he'd probably react positively to that situation.

If the subject of incest was ever discussed legally/morally it wouldn't be excluding the heterosexual side so I don't see how that fits with your theory, it's not something that's only linked to gay people.
