Facebook sucks and needs a class action suit against them
-
I've had several accounts nuked, with no warning, and no explanation.
Sometimes they ask for facial recognition of friends, or photo ID, name, birthday, phone numbers, (even social security numbers which is illegal). Even when I give them what they want, they STILL don't reinstate my accounts.YouTube behaves in a similar way.

I did it a long time ago, never looked back again.
If you have ever registered, take in consideration the possibility to avoid Instagram and WhatsApp too.
The same "creepy perv" practises (that some marketers are able to euphemistically call ad-tech)
are applied in every product of the company. The plan is to eventually build non-implanted devices that can ship at scale. And to tamp down on the inevitable fear this research will inspire, Facebook tells me “This isn’t about decoding random thoughts. This is about decoding the words you’ve already decided to share by sending them to the speech center of your brain.” Facebook likened it to how you take lots of photos but only share some of them. Even with its device, Facebook says you’ll be able to think freely but only turn some thoughts into text.
Wait … what ?!
An advertising company wants mainline access to my brain and vital signs.

The philosophy of Facebook is "Freedom Of Speech" (as long as we agree with it) -
Have a look here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms
That's a very interesting page. I liked this part most of all:
"You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook"They don't follow their own policies.
I know quite a bit about law.. in fact, more than most lawyers and judges do. Judges are unsuccessful lawyers. Lawyers are usually in it for the money, and don't care about justice. All they care about is winning.Anyway.. if any part of a legal document is unlawful / contrary to established laws.. the entire document is invalid. That certainly applies to that page you referred me to.
Also, that agreement / contract is nothing I ever agreed to.. nor did you.. nor did over 99% of the users of Facebook.. because they never READ it.. to be valid, a contract has to be read, witnessed, notarized, etc.
Finally.. many other social networking platforms have come and gone into oblivious.. such as MySpace, AOL, ICQ. Facebook can't survive if they lose the trust, confidence, and support of their users. Even if they are on rock solid ground legally.. that doesn't mean diddly squat, because at some point, their users will revolt.. and something else will replace them. There is ALREADY a russian clone of Facebook called. VK.COM In fact, now that I think of it… I am going to start using my VK account and encourage all 500 people in my facebook group to do the same.
As you can see from most of the posts in this thread... Facebook has more enemies than friends. -
You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook
You are the owner of your data, they are just storing that data applying a "hoster lock-in". FaceBook is the owner of the metadata extracted from the users activity and the aggregated analytics data further extracted from the metadata.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metadata - https://prestodb.io - http://graphql.org
unlawful / contrary to established laws
This is perfectly legal, if a judge is going to ever think to emit a verdict against this, that judge is essentially saying that the governmental metadata collection is unlawful. This is not going to happen (FaceBook is part of Prism), the only protection is the EU's GDPR that's going to be valid from 25 May 2018, but with a 2yr transition period and only of EU citizens. Remember: metadata is not data

Also, that agreement / contract is nothing I ever agreed to

How anti-gay groups use 'Russian Facebook' to persecute LGBT people https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/feb/11/russia-violent-anti-gay-groups-vkontakte-lgbt-sochi
You're essentially migrating from a company that's selling your data to ad companies and the secret service of the (enlarged) five eyes countries to a Слу́жба вне́шней разве́дки company. Founder Pavel Durov was dismissed as CEO in April 2014 after he had failed to retract a (according to himself) prank April fools letter of resignation. Durov then claimed the company had been effectively taken over by Vladimir Putin's allies and suggested his ousting was the result of his refusal to hand over personal details of users to the Russian Federal Security Service and his refusal to shut down a VK group dedicated to anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny.

I've reported blatant racism, homophobia and support for terrorism and been met with the response of "we investigated and found it didn't violate any of our guidelines….block them if you don't want to see it" yet I've seen anything that goes against their own political bias get taken down.
They are an awful, hypocritical company. -
It's a free service. You don't like it? Get out. People seem to forget they are grown and should take responsibility for their own decisions. If you make your life public online and want to be a part of that community, you need to deal with the good and the bad. I deleted mine years ago. Not because of whatever agenda people think they may have. I just was fed up with idiotic selfies and generic food pics.

I've tried facebook a few times over the years only to get rid of it within a few days of signing up.I used to have loads of gay friends who were 'Local' and now I can't stand ANY of them after looking up their profiles/timebook ..whatever.You find by looking at the utter sh*t lives they lead by the need to put pics of their sisters, dogs, dead grannies, outpouring of tears whenever ANOTHER street shitter ploughs into innocent people all in the name of the kiddy fiddling prophet.Nah…people need to get out more and leave the keyboard now and then.

I agree with this. There have been people making direct threats to me before under the guise of "free speech" and I've reported them plenty of times before and even got them rightfully terminated. You cannot make a threat saying you'll "find my house" and "burn it down" because I posted a pic of a bumper sticker on my car calling our current president a bigot. A maniac posted that multiple times on my pics and I reported him and he got permanently terminated. Threats of physical harm are not freedom of speech.
On the other side, no one should be blocked for stating their opinions on something. I've seen people getting terminated for saying "BLM sucks" or "I hate Mexicans." How are those threats? I'm friends with a white man from my job who posted a short video about how BLM is ruining the black community and while I disagreed with him, I don't think it was right for so many people to flood his page with hate messages and then they got him terminated. He is not a racist and has eaten dinner at my house and I've eaten dinner at his. I tried telling the maniacs that and they threatened to get me removed, too, even though they couldn't. Facebook didn't even let him appeal it or anything. They just removed years of photos and other things he'd put up. It's not right and yes someone needs to file a suit against them. There is a huge difference between threatening people and stating opinions.

Facebook is a CIA operation spying on everything you do and promoting their agenda (money). They do not care about you and anything that stands in their way will be eliminated.

Virtually all social media outlets are cucks to SJWs and identity politics.
Experiments have been done on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, where they make exactly post/tweet/video; 1 anti white and 1 anti black.
In each of the experiments, the anti white one as allowed to stay, but the anti black one was removed and the account was deleted.
The Facebook/Twitter posts simply said; "fuck white people" and "fuck black people".
You can find ISIS beheading people on Facebook, but don't dare say anything bad about it.

It is NOT a free service… it is ad generated.. and they also sell your information to whomever will pay for it, such as the government, marketers, or investigators. Have you never noticed that often when you purchase something, you mysteriously are inundated with ads related to that purchase? That is because mega companies such as Facebook are allowed to collect your "cookies" AND used them! This issue arose in the USA a couple of weeks ago. Only a very few companies are allowed to actually sell your information.. and Facebook is one of them.

Once again.. I agree 100% with Raphjd. Why? Because he is CORRECT! Libtards dwell on fantasies and opinions.. people like Raphjd and myself stick to the facts and reality. I would add another example to what Raphjd said. If a white person says 'nigger', they get severely punished, ostracized, and attacked. Consider such people as detective Mark Fuhrman (whom I hate), Paula Deen, and former comedian Michael Richards. On the other hand.. black people use that word all the time.. and also attack white people by calling them "honky", "cracker", "redneck", etc. and get away with it! Nobody dared attack Sheik Barack Obama (other than Putin calling him a monkey), but there is an endless parade of libtards attacking Trump.

Facebook is what it is.
If you don't like it don't use it; it is as simple as that. It's the same concept for products, movies, TV shows, etc.; if you don't like it nor want to support it, then don't.
BTW, it is not only Facebook that sells your information.
Google collects massive amounts of information on each and every user, whether you're using Chrome of Google search or other Aps.
If you get points at your grocery store then you too are being tracked and sold. Here is the page to look at and edit your FaceBook information

You can clean it out but remember every Like puts more information into this file.As for Google search you can use another search engine like DuckDuckGo that doesn't collect nor sell your information (Ok DuckDuckGo doesn't show you 15,000,000 sites for what you're looking for but you can find what you're looking for.)

Facebook is what it is alright.. and one of these days. they will get sued by someone who knows how to hit them where it hurts.. and their bubble will burst. In fact, that day might come this year.
-
I had finally given in to everything Facebook demanded.. giving them my real name, real everything.. and that should have been the end of it…
But no.. they permanently disabled that account also.. with no warning, no explanation.. no opportunity to question nor appeal it.
From the looks of the poll I posted.. about 25% of Facebook users are getting screwed over by Facebook. That is quite a lot.
I don't know what madness they are pushing.. but it can't last. If nothing else, people will just stop using Facebook. It seems like the only people who aren't harassed by Facebook are the people that have accounts.. but don't USE them for anything!
They desperately need to be sued.. if for no other reason that to expose their crooked and corrupt practices. The lawsuit might fail.. but the effect of exposing them would not fail. Their stock would fall faster than Hillary's tits when not wearing a bra. -

But that is what liberals are like.
On YouTube they do false DMCA claims knowing the system is built in their favor because YouTube is terrified of getting in trouble for failing to act on DMCAs.
On other social media they flood the system complaining about hate speech. Again they know the system is in their favor.
YouTube has tons of videos that teach liberals how to do this.
