It can vary person to person, but generally youll want to eat well, hydrate your skin, and drink lots of water. Cut out fast foods and lower your consumption of red meats. A workout regimen also helps.

I have been an acne sufferer. I still get zits on my face every now and then. A face with acne makes my confidence go down. But I have never tried make up or BB cream to hide my acne. I want to stay natural.
These tips are from my personal experience. Acne suffers may follow all the following steps for maximum results:
1. Face Wash: Wash your face with a mild face wash once a day. (It depends if you live in a town with dust and pollution - then wash your face with face wash also before going to bed). Remember not to wash your face many times a day because by doing this you will get rid of the natural oils from your skin. You can look for a face wash containing Salicylic Acid because it is very effective for acne.
2. Moisturize: Most important is to moisturize every time after you wash your face. You may use a light lotion or using a moisturizer containing anti inflammatory ingredients or Salicylic Acid for acne could be fine as well.
3. Exfoliation: Exfoliate at least once a week in order to get rid of the dead skin cells.
4. Hydration: Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day
5. Food: Cut down on sugar and fat intake. Moreover cut down fast food and processed food.
6. Rest: Sleep is essential so try to have at least 7 hours of quality sleep.
7. Stay Positive: Be positive and try to be free from stress.
8. Physical Activity: Be involved in any kind of sports or exercises. You may try Yoga which is beneficial for skin related disorder.
9. Cleanliness: Do not touch your face with your hands. Also change your pillow cover often.
10. Rubbing Ice: I tend to get cystic acne which is painful. So I rub ice all over my face. This has helped me.
11. Taking hot steam: This method can help to open up blocked pores and reduce the acne inflammation.
I hope it would be helpful guys!

I got really bad acne in my teens, I got to a dermatologist which receited me some manipulated soap and an special cream to use in the T zone (forehead and nose) only @ nite, and was told to avoid the sun while using it. Never pop pimples(althou i did, weird pleasures) but i got lucky i never got scars or anything. Now i use just a special "non soap" liquid wash from Avene, the light blue one, it does wonders when u use it in the shower, all dead skin falls of without needing to scrub. but since it gets your skin dry and oilness is kinda of a defense system you shoul use a matte oil skin hidrator, of course with a lot of modesty, i use La roche, it's awsome and it gets your skin smooth and not shiny at all. If you take care of it everyday it'll get better.
Good luck, i hope it helps!

Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), 1000-3000mg daily.
Try this after making sure your hygiene/skincare is fine but before trying expensive prescriptions with side effects. It's worked for everyone I know, and for people with bad acne it's notable that when they stop taking it the acne comes back. When they start again, it goes away.
Work your way up from lower dosage to higher dosage. When your face clears, work your way back down to the lowest dosage that keeps acne away (I personally now only take it when I feel subdermal breakout bumps starting, but my relative needs to take about 500mg/day). There aren't any side effect concerns at any of these dosages, just frugality - why spend more than necessary.
I personally believe that this remedy isn't more widely known because pharma companies can't make any money off a non-patented vitamin. When I started taking it, years ago, very few people were aware, but now you can google it.
It's water soluble and excess will get flushed with urine. At higher dosages than this, you might get some loose bowel movements (I didn't, but that's what the docs say). There is no 'harmful upper limit' identified - People have taken 10-15g with no serious side effects, though I don't see why that would be needed.
I realize the OP is no longer around, but wanted to leave this here for anyone who is having issues.
