Trump has lowest approval ratings of any new president ever polled: poll
-
A majority of respondents, 53 percent, disapprove of how Trump is handling his job in the CNN/ORC International poll released Friday, while 44 percent approve.
CNN reported that Trump is the only president to hold a net negative rating this early in a presidency. However, the vast majority of respondents, 78 percent, say Trump is handling the presidency as they would have expected.
The network compared Trump's ratings to past presidents, noting that Ronald Reagan's first approval rating measured at 51 percent from Gallup in 1981 — 7 points above Trump's rating in the CNN poll — but Reagan's disapproval number was far lower than Trump's at just 13 percent, compared to Trump's 53 percent.
George W. Bush, the last president to be elected without winning the popular vote, also held a more positive approval rating at 57 percent in February of his first year in office.
Trump's first two weeks as president have been punctuated by national protests over his executive order denying entry to nationals from seven predominantly Muslims nations for 90 days while suspending the U.S. refugee program for 120 days.
A majority of those polled by CNN, 53 percent, oppose Trump's executive order, while 47 percent say they favor the action.
Trump's executive order to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border also faces opposition, with 60 percent of Americans surveyed by CNN opposed to the proposal. Trump said last week that construction on the wall could begin in "months."
The CNN poll of 1,002 adults was conducted Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 via landlines and cellphones with an overall margin of error of 3 percentage points.

It's hard to read anything into this since every poll was wrong for a year.

Of course CNN wants to make him look bad, that's all they've done since he started running. To be honest, whether you like Trump or not, CNN proved we can't trust them and they lied to liberals causing the democrats to lose twice…once when Hillary screwed Bernie and again when they predicted that Trump would fail.
Screw CNN and it's idiot sycophants. -
I'm more concerned about the government lying. 100 years from now people are going to be arguing over whether or not the Bowling Green Massacre ever happened.
-
OP, you've been creating like 10 topics against trump in like 48h hours. we get it ….

It's so hilarious when people compare the polls from the 2016 election to the polls reading the public's approval on #45. You cannot compare because asking someone who they will vote for is entirely different than asking someone if they approve or disapprove of #45 on his current job in office. The election is over and he won; therefore, his job is being critiqued. How come no one was questioning the approval or disapproval numbers of President Obama when they were either low or high? So now, approval and disapproval numbers are "fake news" and "fake polls" because a relatively small number (approx. 77,000) people spread over 3 states were enough to sway those three states' electoral numbers in #45's favor? You can argue on a lot of things but mathematics cannot be argued. Just enough votes in crucial districts were what proved the polling from 2016 wrong, not a complete miscalculation. There's a margin of error for a reason, not everyone can be fully represented in every poll. The best way to test how accurate #45's numbers are is to compare the feeling of our country right now and what you've been seeing with your own two eyes. How many protests have their been? How many petitions have been signed to go against what #45 has been trying to do? Most important, how many times have those in #45's own party gone on TV to say they highly disagree with what he has said or done? Judging by the evidence, the numbers are correct and #45 is the most unpopular person to sit in the White House for only a few weeks. We'll see how things change over time. Maybe it will get better for him.

You're right. I think even his voters expected him to do a lousy job. They didn't care. They would gladly sacrifice America and their freedom to keep someone with a vagina out of the oval office.
