Creepy and scary stories thread! #NoSleep
-
#NoSleep is a favorite thread of mine on reddit, thought we could do something similar here!
Basically we just write our personal eerie experiences, or ones that happened to people we know (e.g. not urban legends, etc)
They don't necessarily have to include ghosts or anything paranormal, anything creepy works.I'll start with a relatively short one:
_One day I was (as usual) staying up all night. At some point I opened the window so I could smoke (smoke smell in the house just doesn't feel right tbh). So I was gazing at the park outside the window, total silence since it was really late and most people here are old couples who go to sleep early. At some point I got a notification or something on my phone so I checked it. Once I turned my head to the window again, there was a dude standing in the middle of the park, not moving at all, just standing still, facing my direction but looking at his feet. He suddenly looked up and saw me (my apartment is on the first floor so that's pretty normal) and our eyes met. The only thing the creeper did was tilt his head to one side (like dogs do when they are confused), then to the other side, then straight up again, without losing eye contact with me (I couldn't really take my eyes away from him either, he got me by surprise tbh). I felt a chill on my spine and turned my attention to my phone again but a moment later I couldn't help it and looked out of the window again: THE MAN WAS GONE! Like, no noise or steps heard, and practically just a few moments have passed, and if he just left I would be able to see his back while he was leaving. But no, it was like he vanished all of a sudden, much like he suddenly appeared in the first place. I was just sitting there confused, the wind blowing in my face. I don't need to mention it but I didn't sleep that night. In fact, I still get the chills to this day whenever I think about it. I tried to convince myself that it was probably just someone with his dog (which might be a bit farther away, out of my sight) and just got startled when he saw me staring at him from the window, hence the awkward moments of looking at each other completely frozen. But again, how did he vanish so fast and in complete silence? Wouldn't he call his dog? Wouldn't the dog bark or something? Wouldn't I see them walking away? Was it just my mind playing tricks on me and I thought it was just a few seconds while it was in fact more or did I experience something eerie that belongs to the other side? :afr2: :afr2:
PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORIES AND EXPERIENCES! I would love to read them! ;)_

My story goes like this and is also part of the History of my neighborhood.
I live in a developing part of town, wich means there are still many empty lots to be built and settled. The building where I live - till a couple of years ago - was located in a particularly isolated area until other buildings started to be erected arount it. It was interesting - not to say macabre - to notice, however, that when they started to excavate to lay the foudations for a new building right behind mine that corpses started to come out of the grount. Yep, that's it. The lot was filled with corpses, some were skeletons already, some a little less decomposed. It appears that that very location, due to it's isolation, was being used as a clandestine cemetery by drug gangs for quite a time. Once the buildings started to appear and new avenues were built, however, the place was abandoned… but what was laid to rest there stood there, until they started digging for new real state developments... and who knows how many more murder victims are still underneath what's now offices, appartments, playgrounds and swimming pools? -
I have some more creepy stories too… I will share when more of you people share yours

When I was really young about maybe 7 or 8 whenever my parents were out of town I used to sleep in their bed. Just outside their bedroom is a balcony and there was usually a very nice airy feeling to the room. They weren't at home one night and as usual I went to sleep in their bed. I feel asleep but then later that night I suddenly awoke because I felt extremely thirsty. But I just couldn't move. I realized that I was lying face down into the pillow, and my hands and feet were ice and stone. I tried to turn my head to breathe and as I did, I felt someone pushing my head further into the pillow holding my neck. I was terrified but I could not move. I tried very hard to see who it was and then someone whispered in my ear in a raspy voice, in a language that was not of this world. I fainted, and when I awoke in the morning everything was just as before. I never even told my parents about it.

This happened to me not so long ago. Glad i discovered Lucid Dream and Astral Projection before this. I thought it was my dad pushing my body to take some laundry so i unconsciously conjure an astral hand to push him away. He looked like a black shadow man with no facial features. He then just walked away through my door and vanished.

My sister and my nephew and young niece live in the house and, for a stretch of time, at night, there seems to be a tapping sound on the roof. Well, not quite the roof but on the ceiling. I hear it and wonder about it but can't really do much. If went on for a month or two.
Now we have a supernatural local myth about a tik-tik, a vampiric monster with a long, razor tongue that supposedly goes after young children. It's called tik-tik because of the sound it makes. If you near the tik-tik sound, it's suppose to be far. When you don't hear it anymore, it means it's near.
My bedroom is on the second floor, right above my sister and by niece's room.
The tapping noise disappeared eventually tho. Perhaps because my niece grew too old. The noise kept me awake those nights before tho but I didn't want to think too hard about it then.

That's more common than you think actually (if that makes you worry less). It's called sleep paralysis and it happens when your senses wake up but the rest of your brain is still in REM (the part of your sleep-time that you have dreams). In REM your body gets stiff, mostly because your brain works faster so it can put dreams together. So basically when you have sleep paralysis, you are still dreaming (although you think otherwise, just like in dreaming, you perceive the "dream reality" as the "true reality"), you cannot move at all or have minimum motor abilities, you feel cold (because in REM your body temperature decreases), but yet you still see and hear everything, including real life images/sounds and ones produced by your brain (dreams). People say the best way to overcome this is to realize in your dream that you are dreaming, which is called lucid dreaming and is an ability that may take years of practice for some people
So yeah, it is creepy indeed (I have experienced it myself a few times) but at least it's not real and there is an explanation about it all!

Oh guys, those are just ghosts, nothing creepy about that. That's my almost every day life. What is creepy is that when your in the middle of your porn someone calls you on the phone and tells you excatelly what you're watching. It almost gave me a heart attack.
When me and my friend see a light up bus that next second isn't there, to me, that's normal, or if my dead grandparents come to visit. Once I was at my friends new house and my granny came. She fell so in love with that house, I think she still might be there. Once she told my friend there was a crack in the house that must be fixed. She was really pushing her to find crack. Finally she found it, but how can she say to her parents that my dead granny told her about crack. So she said that house told her. Like that is less strange. Twice I got a visit from this cutest boy. He must have been around 3 years old. He wasn't looking like ghost at all. Or that bus for that matter. Everything was in colors. I still remember his sweater. First time I saw him, he was with some friends of my dad's, or so I thougt. Later I found out that they didn't have kids. Second time he came to my room smiling. When I asked him where is his daddy, he said he didn't have one. When he went out of my room, I went after him and when I asked my mum where is he, she said that there is noone here. Once me any my friend saw dog coming out of appartment house and disapearing. Im ny friend's old house there's always some tall dark guy minding his own business. Once I was watching tv and there were footsteps in the corridor. It was at night and my dad weent to check why am I walking around. I told him that it's just a ghost and he went back to sleeep knowing everything's fine. Actually there were so many ghosts at that time I was still watching tv in living room. I guess they wanted to watch it too. Oh, once there was this one ghost, we still don't know who, but…ok let me explain. my dad has this glass thingy made of 3 pats for cleaning water and making it more alive. And this thing doesn't want to get apart even if you try real hard. I guess there's vacume in it or somthing. Ok now back to gost. My dad heard this noice in kitchen and when he went there that thingy was very nicely put apart. It wasn't broken or anything just laying on the table like someone wanted to clean it or whatever. He had hard time putting it back together and then he went back to sleep just to hear same noise in the kitchen and seeing those parts laying apart on table again. In the morning he asked me if we have ghosts in house and I said that I didn't feel or hear anyone. And he said no, there are defenitely ghosts. Once there was a woman infront of my doors in the corridor looking for my dad. I still don't know if that was dead woman or gypsy. I don't see them all the time, but I'm sure they're with me. God knows what my granny thinks of me downloading those very nice loving videos here. Freddy Mercury would probably love it. And don't let me start with him. I should realize something while listening his music. Don't get me wrong Freddy, I like your music, But I still don't get what I need to get.Once there was this doctor or was school teacher who just wouldn't let me go. She was literally on my back all the time feeding on my energy. She was angry with me, but I didm't even know her. Finally she left.
You guys really put right topic here for me to put everything out of my chest. My mum soesn't want to belive. Like that is to belive. you have nothing to belive. It's just the way it is.
But you have to understand ghosts. All I'll say about their point of you is that they don't want to be forgoten as soon as they're put into graves. They would love to chat with us, specially when we're family, but most people don't notice them.
So here, that's my normal life. If you think there's ghost close to you, say hi, talk to him even if you think it sounds stupid. They will appreciate it. -

There are a lot of creeps in my neighbourhood. Alive ones. They climb over the fence and watch us do whatever, like watch porn and stuff. Those I'm affraid of. They might do something someday for real.
Those ghosts or people without bodies, they just come for a visit cos they're bored and people are ignoring them. ))% of the time they are just fine. That's how I also found out that my friend from London is dead.
