M/M refers to male-male pairings or gay romances.
I haven't tried those authors yet- I'll give them a shot.
Here are some of my favorites:
1- Josh Hunter- Settling the Score series
2- D.J. Heart - Omega series
3- G.A. Hauser- too many to mention
4- Kora Knight- Upending Tad series
5- Stormy GlennI don't have as much time now, but it was a lot of fun reading them back when I had lots of free time.

It means male/male romance, a romance novel concerning two men rather than m/f (male/female).

Are male authors better at writing m/m or female authors? Like Tanya Huff.
My preference is male authors. Male/male romance/erotica is mostly written by women for women, and I find the characters often act is ways slightly different from any man I have ever met, gay or straight. It is a similar situation to Lesbians not liking female/female porn which is made for straight men.
Mercy Celeste is a female m/m author who I think is quite good.
Jay Northcote is a male m/m author who I think is quite good. -

One is not necessarily better than the other, but I prefer the male perspective in a sexual narrative. I'm not sure how to explain it but I find that female authors tend to 'feminize' the emotions and thoughts of male characters. I find this distracting in a M/M story.
