Is this possible? (Checked FAQ, couldnt see anything)

So basically there was a torrent on this site about a year or so back for a collection of videos and images. It has since been removed.
I have just found that it has been uploaded again, but NOT as a re-seed (since the original got deleted), it has been uploaded as a new torrent. The video and picture filenames are identical, however my torrent client doesn't pick up that I have this file to seed/upload.
Is there any way to 'point' this torrent to the files on my machine, so that I can start seeding for this torrent?
Might be impossible, maybe I'm being an idiot!

Download the torrent file and make sure the files are in the same location, your client should do the rest. Transmission does for me anyway.

Assuming you haven't set your torrents to start automatically when you click them, your torrent client will ask you where to save the files. Just point it to where (that is, the folder) the files are saved on your hard disk. It doesn't need to be your regular download folder if you use one.
You just need to show it where the files are

You said the video and image names are the same, but what about the new upload and .torrent file names? Are they identical to yours? That might be also be a factor.
Also, what torrent client are you using? -
And then because inquiring minds need to know please mark this as solved and forward any pictures or video of you enjoying the fruits of your labour. If these tutorials have not been of assistance please be sure to forward any pictures or video of pure naked frustration.
If all else fails poke and prod, what's the worse that could happen? The internet is already broken. [off-topic] Why back in my day we used to carry the internet around in buckets, great heaping torrents of data sloshing around and if you got some on you, well let's just say we learned pretty fast it wasn't every man who could dip his toes in that murk and not be changed. Wait, what, can I make a smile? I am not stroking out and already rubbed out, hey where's my wife, where's my wallet, who was that masked man? I thought this is why we stopped using buckets…[/off-topic]
