Yeah, in my experience it usually means one or both are bored to some degree either with the partner or the sex or both. Personally I think 3 somes are hot to watch but not nearly as fun to participate in, invariable someone ends up feeling left out to one degree or other. I agree 1000000% Long term gay relationships that stay monogamous are very much the exception, the longer the relationship goes on the greater the likelihood that there will be infidelity or that the relationship will morph into some variant of an "open relationship" In my opinion this tendency is a bad thing. Although it may seem fun or even natural when you're younger, as you get older it just ends up robbing you of valuable years of youth with little to show for it.
