I'm not sure how that would have happened as mods who do picture approval are supposed to check to see if the pictures are relevant, but I can say this…

If you see this kind of thing on your torrents, please hit the report button to flag it for the pictures so that mods can correct this for you. I know this isn't the ideal solution for you, but it is an option that we can use with the system as we have it currently. I do understand your frustrations completely. I'm just not sure that the powers that be would be too willing to jump straight to that (just to be honest up front).

Mr Mazda, those pictures might have been relevant but unnecessary.

And we can't expect Mods to know every movie and every scene to know whether the pictures are relevant.

However the report button works well. I have reported pictures on my own as well as other torrents which had nothing to do with and they have been deleted quickly. But it is just more work for staff that could be avoided.

I respectfully disagree a little bit here. My only problem is with irrelevant pictures (which I now know may just be due to a QTM quirk). For me, the more relevant pix the better – I don't care if it's messy (or sweaty, or smelly...)

There are about 1000 pictures which pass the quick check by staff added each day. Compared to that, the number of reported images is in a low single digit percentage area.

And if we see a mess of untitled pictures in no particular order, how are we to know which are relevant?

In the second post on this thread, you yourself said "I actually don't see many bad uploads of pictures. Some I report if they are really misleading."

And in respose to my original post, Popper said it's likely just a Quick Torrent Maker quirk. It's not that moderators are approving random images - so what I assumed was not a problem, after all.

So I'm retracting my original complaint. Restricting image uploads to those who've downloaded the torrent doesn't seem to be neccesary (though it's open to debate).

To answer your question: the studio watermark may be absent / different, the lighting may be wrong (if it's something that doesn't look like it's from the film or the studio's stills), or it may be something completely off the wall (from a previous QTM upload?).

Not to say its QTM one way or the other but I have had the issue and being a mac person i have no access to QTM.

                    Slightly bending the topic here…

Restricting image uploads to those who've downloaded the torrent…

As I've said more than once I wish people who have downloaded would add thumbnails if none have been posted already

Everyone (including the original poster) can make thumbnails easily (except Mac users and DVDs). I'm not asking anyone to splatter pictures all over a torrent page, just one tidy thumbnail sheet…and you get a bonus point.

And QTN doesn't affect me - I've never used it

                      @Popper:

                      d) Often we see pictures multiple times or from a previous upload. This might be due to QTM not clearing the picture list after an (failed) upload.

Thanks Popper for this explanation as this has happened to me an I thought it was my error not QTM but it does seem to happen to me after QTM fails to complete the upload so now I know! :thankyou:

Pleased thank everyone for the time they take to upload torrents for our benefit and Have a great day!!!!!
