I've never played the WII.
Most of the games seemed dumbed down and very childish, compared to Xbox and PS.

When Kinect fucks up, it's fken horrible and when it's good, it's only just okay… (Just dance etc). When Wii was shit, it was bad but when it's good, it could be fken excellent.
Wii destroyed sales when it was out and Kinect tried to ride its coat tails but it was nowhere near as successful. When you think of Wii, you have classics like Wii sports, smash brawl, mario kart and some really good not so well knowns like Dead Space: Extraction which later came out on PS3 and Xenoblade which was a very strong RPG entry. Monster Hunter Tri was out on Wii too.

The Wii games were mostly just really good party games which Nintendo always did well and there were very few games that needed a high depth level of skill to play but in the small instances they tried something else like horror for Dead Space: Extraction, they did excellently.
They still sell the Kinect today but LOL, what happened a few months after release? They made the Kinect non-mandatory.

Yes, It's gone already but gone with the glory. Wii is the winner of the last console generation so xbox kinect is not a murderer. However, his younger brother, WiiU, can't stand the loneliness so he decide to go to heaven with Wii and leave Xboxone and Ps4 behind.
Nintendo is developing a new console (not announced yet).
