Do you use protection when you perform oral sex on your partner or when you lick his butt, like condoms or oral dams?

Many doctors say that unprotected oral sex is not totally safe and reccomend the use of protection, but how widespread is the use of condoms for blowjobs and rimming?

I swallowed sperm infected with the HIV virus for over 8 years and never seroconverted during that time.

I am not a medical doctor, nor do I play one on TV but I did have sex with a medical doctor while in his care.

I don't, but I don't have many sexual partners. While HIV is almost impossible to get during oral sex, other STDs such as Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis etc are. My advice is if you want to have unprotected oral sex, try to make sure your partner doesn't have any communicable STDs. If you engage in risky behavior, have frequent std screenings.

There are risks attached to even oral sex, if it's not wrapped up, but .. I'm of a mind that if I'm going that far with protecting myself, my sex life is essentially dead and I'm doing the equivalent of eating rice cakes and flavorless protein pills for the rest of my life.

There's no joy in sucking a wrapped up cock, and it's hard enough for me to cum with a condom on even when everything is perfect. I won't engage in oral sex with someone that I have reason to believe is highly likely to be infected, but otherwise … if I'm going to suck a dick or get mine sucked, a condom is not going to be involved.

            It's just too much.

I am a top and like being sucked off way more than I like sucking. So for me its not an issue.

yikes, what kind of wound is it?  if there is a wound on a penis you should not lick suck fuck or touch it.  if there is a wound on the penis it is likely herpes or syphilis.

if you have an open sore in your mouth i would avoid oral sex.

I would say everytime you have a new sexual partner; get tested before having sex. Then if you're gonna be in a monogamous relationship; for oral you don't need to use condoms. You can still do it though, cuz after all your never know whether your boyfriend will cheat on you or not, which is why you ABSOLUTELY need to use a condom for anal sex, at least.

The easiest and safest answer is to use condoms for EVERYTHING and use them ALL THE TIME.  However, like you, I decide for myself what risks are acceptable for me.  If I am sucking cock, then I have really gotten into something with someone (ie. we are well past  the first 4-5 dates.)  I wouldn't require him to wear one.  If anyone is looking for me to wear one during oral, at anytime, then I politely decline and move on.  I feel absolutely nothing from wrapped oral, especially since I am cut.  So while I appreciate that the other person may be looking out for their safety – and that is good of them! --  but it's a waste of time for me, especially if I feel nothing.

Have you serviced your Dom today?

you'd have to be especially paranoid to suck with a condom on. either that or love the taste of rubber  :cheesy2:

I say use them if you want. I tried it myself because I was afraid of catching anything. You feel almost nothing with them on. They do have thin condoms that may be better. But I say the choice is yours and try it and see if you like it.
