I tend to think my GayDar is very good.  I can generally tell if someone is gay pretty quickly.  Sometimes a few minutes conversation or with the really obvious ones just a glance.  Its kinda weird sometimes how that sixth works.

I am curious about someone I know.  Can you tell if someone is closeted?

I don't know, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Sometimes I even think some guy is gay, but it turns out he was just a "straight virgin"

My gaydar works from a distance. The less information I have, the more accurate I am. If the guy is in my face, I can totally fuck it up. Also, my gaydar is attuned to guys and not lesbians.

I'd say, my satisfaction over my radar would be 90%. My friend always ask me how I got those radars. I have no idea, I just good with that. When I point one, 90% accuracy, the dude is gay.

My gaydar is impeccable but I have been fine tuning "the feelies" since before I started going to school.  The first television shows I remember as a child were Gilligan's Island & Bewitched.  I remember thinking that I was going to be warlock because that's what Uncle Arthur was and though at the time I didn't distinguish between character & actor I knew Paul Lynde was "my people".  Watching Match Game I also knew Charles Nelson Reilly & I had something in common.

At this point I didn't even know what that was, it wasn't until I was 10 or 11 I found out.  Someone at school called me a homosexual and it was later that day when I looked up homosexual in the dictionary that I had a name for what I was.

By the time I was 16 my gaydar was tuned well enough to know which of my classmates were easy targets.  Not that they were necessarily gay mind you but they might more amiable to certain types of games and explorations.  I would also tell friends which celebrities were members of the parish.  People would insist I just thought everyone was gay because for example there was no way that George Michael superstar could be gay as I claimed.  It also worked the other way as in when I said David Bowie was not gay in other people's minds I was just proving how wrong I was.

Now however it doesn't get used as much.  I swore off bending the flexible gents years ago.  I still make claims like "he could be had" but am less interested in the effort.

Just saying gaydar is very real, I was using mine before I fully understood the great power I wielded.

My gaydar is spot on for the "obvious" ones. So much so I can often spot the married guys who are "bi".

But how many do I miss I'll never know!

Mine is pretty good.  It is being tested pretty well given the area I live in now.  I'm accurate a good 90% of the time I'd say.  People always ask me, "How do you know."  Not sure what it is.  Maybe I spent too much time in the gay ghettos when went away to college, but I can just tell. Sometimes it's what someone says (significant other, partner, or a decisive choice to avoid using a definite he or she), or how they say it.  Sometimes it's a mannerism. Sometimes, it's a look or an expression, or their voice (intonation, what they accent, or how they interject). Other times it's how one is dressed, or what their interests are. It just takes paying full attention and focusing in on the details and vibe you pick up.  Put all the clues together and you can get a solid picture.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to focus in like that on much else.  I can be the most nonobservant person in the world sometimes.  "Oh, I'm sorry officer, was I really driving 85 mph?"

Have you serviced your Dom today?

If he screams from the mountain tops how straight he is, even when no one is asking: You have a Closet Gay!

Those were definitely 2 of my television favorites.  Then, don't forget about Tony Randall from "The Odd Couple" (…and "Pillow Talk" with Rock Hudson and Doris Day).  Although, Tony Randall went to his grave claiming that he was heterosexual.

I didn't forget Tony Randall, I think his claims were spot on  :cheesy2:  The Odd Couple did peak my interest but in the same way that Bert & Ernie did.

Oddly enough Thomas Middleditch was on Conan last night raving about Paul Lynde and my gaydar was stumped, I never thought of him as a friend of Dorothy but he acted out his favourite Lynde bit

! What do you say when a woman falls off a ship?  Full steam ahead. which made me wonder about his sexuality.

I do know he seems a lot funnier on the talk shows than on Silicon Valley.
