      Hey all!

I just recently came out and my parents are not taking it well. They are calling me a sinner, rapist and think I'm going to hell. I want to please them, but I want to live my own life too. Any advice?

It is your life and you need to live it and be happy in living it.

They have their opinions and that is fine, however, what is the concern is your need to please them. You cannot please all the people all the time and sometimes you may please no one. This is one of those times that if you try to please your parents you might end up very unhappy.

        Give them time.
        Educate them.
        Show them you haven't changed.

But above all live your life how you want to live it. And accept the fact that they may never accept you for whom you are. Be true to yourself and remember you are not what they call you. You know who you are.

Where in the world do you live? How old are you? As a younger person financially dependent on your parents, or if you are living in a very homophobic society, your response could be very different than if you are a working independent person living in a very friendly environment like downtown Toronto where I live.

Your parents seem to be religious crooks, that are brainwashed beyond belief and take everything that's written in bible as a fact and never even question anything, regardless the fact we don't even know which religion got it right, if any. You can't really do much here, convincing them they are wrong is a waste of time, too narrow minded and brainwashed. Just don't let them to try to "fix" you with "pray the gay away" bullshit camps.

Wish I could come out and live my happy bi-sexual life in full swing but unluckily I am from Pakistan and I cannot openly profess that I am into men as well as women. Got married about a year back and now going through a divorce takes a toll on me and then on top of that looking at yummy men and not being able to do anything makes it even worse.

Its not like I havent had good times with men I have but nothing long term after this so called fucked up marriage I dont want to get married to a girl again they are too demanding and fucked up in the head I want to live/spend my life with the man of my dreams but dont know how to  :blownose:

its all depends on your personal background, but it never going to be easy, just give it time, don't push them too hard.

Time heals a broken relationship, but it can never remove the scars! If that's how they felt, then there is nothing u can do about it! all u have to do is be yourself and achieve your goals in life and make them proud.
