True Blood
-
True Blood is a new tv series based on Charlaine Harris' series of books about a telepathic human girl (Sookie Stackhouse played by Anna Paquin) from Louisiana who fell in love with a vampire named Bill in a fictional town called Bon Temps.
this is an interesting series with raunchy sex scenes in every episode.
though, not generally a gay-themed tv series, 2 of the supporting characters are gay:
1. Lafayette (a black human cook/drug dealer/internet porn amateur)
2. Malcolm (a white vampire older and stronger than Bill)…and in episode 3, Malcolm is seen as making out and sucking Jerry, a white human muscular guy who offered himself to Malcolm.
Anyway, the point is that i have episodes 1 - 7 in avi format (very high-def) and i'm willing to upload them here if lots of people are interested! (i need people to leech, otherwise, seeding efforts will be wasted!)
So, who wants to download these said episodes?
-
sookie stackhouse, the telepathic waitress at merlotte's bar and grill who fell in love with a vampire.
bill, the vampire who fell in love with sookie and enjoys mainstreaming.
-
jason stackhouse, sookie's wayward brother who is always naked and having sex in every episode!
tara, sookie's best friend who also works at merlotte's as a bartender.
-
sam merlotte, the owner of merlotte's bar and grill and is very much in love with sookie. he is also harboring a very dark secret!
lafayette, tara's gay cousin who is a cook at merlottes and also sells drugs, V juice and does internet porn.
the viking vampire eric, who is the oldest vampire in bon temps and owner of "fangtasia" - a vampire bar.

I've really been enjoying this show. It's very interesting. And may I add that not only are two of the characters gay, but that the show is obviously (in my opinion) drawing a parallel between how the vampires are perceived/treated by the southern (U.S.)/conservative/white/patriarchal society depicted in the show and how homosexuals are perceived/treated by the real southern (U.S.)/conservative/white/patriarchal society. The show was created by Alan Ball (although they are based on the books by Charlaine Harris) an openly gay man.
Oh and how hot is Jason Stackhouse?!?! It's too bad his character is such a dumbass, lol. Every scene he's in, I don't know whether I want to smack him or fuck him.
-
thanks katyggls. that's a really nice analogy there.
on that note, i love how they portray "lafayette" as a openly gay guy who wears girly clothes and make up but still manages to kick ass (especially that scene with 3 homophobic rednecks and jason)…

Yes, I like Lafayette's character too. He's sort of flaming but he's got a cool kind of dangerous edge to him. I just hope he's not the serial killer, that would make me sad. I read the other day on TV Guide that the serial killer is "one of the good guys". I think we can eliminate a few people as the killer, especially Jason because a) the police think it might be him which means he probably isn't and b) he's too dumb to kill that many people and get away with it. I think it might be Sam. But maybe that's because I just don't like him.
-
i think they're using sam to mislead people. i don't think it's him.
if the killer is one of the good guys then i think it's one of the good guys that isn't exposed much in the show.
sort of like someone you know is there but don't pay much attention to, like that tall guy who still lives with his mom who is always at merlotte's with his friend (the husband of the red-haired waitress).
someone like that.
-
Yeah you're probably right, like I said I mostly think it could be Sam just because I don't like him, lol. It is probably someone obscure. I was actually thinking it might be the red haired waitresses husband. He's kind of strange. In that scene where he came to Sookie's defense when one of the rednecks grabbed her ass, he put his hand on her hair and said something like "you remind me of my baby sister". But it just didn't have a brotherly vibe to it, you know? Maybe it was just poor acting.

Hi, thought I should drop by with an update: my partner mentined this show recently, he said the first season is available for pre-order on DVD, so we'll most likely buy it online. As for the perceived good guy being a serial killer.. two words: "Harper's Island" I am not turned on by fictional characters on the TV, although I do look forward to watching this show after hearing much good about it. Also have a look at [hxxp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169501/plotsummary] "Ultraviolet" (not the movie).

I do, but I'm battling with my ratio, and still looking at that Carlo Masi collection, so many guys, so little ratio!
On the other hand, I want to find out more about that Sam Merlotte son-of-a-bitch.
Perhaps I'll wait until I can find the DVDs….

Sad that this is the last season of the show, but I think it's run it's course. The show has been weak since season 4. The first three seasons are the best, IMO.
-
hndgfan, I could not agree with you MORE! The first 3 seasons hooked me so hard that I'm still watching despite the slack the following few seasons :(. I realize it has to end at some point but I still feel sad about it! :cry2:

This last season
! is so painful to watch because of bad quality of episodes and no real story in them :blownose:.
Edit: Contain spoiler alert
