For once I agree with you. Yes, the USA under Obama had a great reputation in the world. Obama even won the Nobel Peace Prize. The great thing about Russia's instalment of the Trumpanzee as US president is the sham that is the USA is revealed to the world in all its ignominy. No more sweeping it under the carpet. The USA spends more on arms than the next 13 countries added together. If they did not start wars and sponsor terrorist groups throughout the world, their war machine economy would fail. The Trumpanzee puppet has shone the light revealing to everyone what the USA really is and there is no way back, a great Russian success story. The less than a third of the staff of the US state department who have not yet resigned must be pulling their hair out in despair.
I'm back in Australia now and I read an article written by a former senior member of the government saying that the Trumpanzee's failure to appoint an ambassador to Australia after more than a year in office is a diplomatic insult. The reality is, he doesn't have anyone to send. It is amazing how anti-USA feelings have grown so much in the 5 months since I was last here and this from one of their closest allies.
Back at home in India of course, the USA hardly makes the news except when the Trumpanzee makes an idiot of himself which is a regular occurrence. The USA is generally seen as a civilisation in decline thrashing around in its death throes.

I never said that the USA had a great reputation in the world under Obama. What happened was that during the 8 years of George W Bush, the USA had the friendship or respect of almost the entire world. Obama managed to lose all that friendship and respect to the point where the USA has no close allies left and nobody respects us. Obama never won a Nobel Peace Prize.. he was GIVEN a Nobel Peace Prize just for being black. That sounds harsh, but is true. What is sad is that Obama just USED black people. He hurt them instead of helping them. Obama was GIVEN that Nobel Prize before he even had a chance to do anything.
