I wanted your opinion and expertise on something.

Recently I tried to upload a new torrent. I did a comprehensive search (or I thought so) to check that it wasn't uploaded before, all was OK and went for it. A while later I received a PM from a mod saying that the new torrent I uploaded was already in the database but it was dead. My mistake was that I didn't search including the dead torrents, thats why I missed it. Lesson learned, I deleted it and I will be searching everything from now on.

But as I was discussing the situation with the mod another issue rose. The question is:

If I find an old torrent that is dead, not visible and does not have any connected members (seeders or leechers) am I allowed to upload a new torrent even if it is a duplicate?

I suspect that once you find a torrent in the database (dear or alive) that matches the new one you want to upload (ie is a dublicate) it is NOT allowed to upload it until there is no record in the database at all.

Is it an absolute rule? or it depends whether the dead torrent has any users connected to it (seeders or leechers)

Can we define when a torrent is dead? (when no visible or when no users connected to it)
Are there any occasions when uploading a new duplicate torrent is allowed?

I found some scattered information in the forum regarding this matter on posts of different topic/subject. I thought putting all information in this dedicated topic/subject will be useful.

In the UPLOAD page (http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/upload.php) there is a link that tells us which videos and pictures we should not upload (http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=1516.0). But this link send us to a post that lists which videos and studios are prohibited.

Can we put a separate link in the UPLOAD page for picture uploading prohibited studios?

There is a post for that (http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=3593.0) which is located at Gaytorrent.ru Forum > GayTorrent.ru Rules and Information > Auto approval > DO NOT post pictures from these Studios

This way the process of uploading will be easier (not having to go backwards and forwards from the upload page to the forum) and less likely to make a mistake.

The picture uploading prohibited studios post is currently located ONLY at the Auto-approval section of the forum. Is it worth to put it in the Rules and Information section as well? (http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?board=33.0)

I hope it made sense and its not confusing.

Let me begin by thanking you for the very good job you're doing. The site has been improving since the last few months and I enjoy using it.

Now to my question… I noticed that 2 of my uploaded torrents have disappeared. In the past I uploaded 3 torrents with HotGymnast files and now I have 1 left, as I can see in my 'uploaded torrents' and 'my torrents' information. I thought that they might be dead so I did a search with the word HotGymnast and made sure I included the dead torrents but nothing came out. I am just wondering what happened to them.

Have they been deleted? Did they die? Under which occasions dead torrents get deleted?

I have successfully downloaded flv movies from various websites but I am using firefox. It gives u the option of installing and uninstalling numerous add-ons very easily.

The addons I am using are:

firstly 'Fast Video Download' and if it doesnt work I try 'UnPlug' which works most of the times. If all these fail my last resort is 'CacheViewer' which allows you to browse the firefox cache files and save the files you want. With the cacheviewer sometimes i have to wait until the whole movie loads before it shows on the cache.

Strong Privacy level option on the profile.

The privacy level should apply to personal details on the RU website, that is what you are able to see via the web-browser.

It should not affect the information that utorrent gives u regarding to the peers connected to the torrent.

Again I am just assuming all these, I might be wrong but it seemed weird hence I posted here in case someone can shed some light 

Is it possible for a leecher to show on my bt client (utorrent) and not show in the torrent page.

It concerns the torrent 'Lilies (1996).avi'. In utorrent shows 2 leechers while in the torrent page shows just one. Is the second leecher a cheater ?

The mods have contacted me swiftly to try to help me but it was beyond their powers as the site was experienced connection problems shortly after I uploaded the torrent.

I have uploaded the torrent 'addiction 2' which is seeding properly in Utorrent and communicating with the tracker.

The torrent is not visible in the category/browse/main page.

On the 'my torrents' page the torrent shows as visible and in my 'userdetails' page the torrent shows as seeding.

Also I am on the auto-approval group.

Is there something wrong on my part or the system that doesn't allow the torrent to be visible?

It seems that your dad definately cares for your health. You started a conversation on sexual health and he probed you in many and some unexpected ways to find out about your current sexual lifestyle and how sexualy active you are. I must say that I was surpised when he asked you if you had sex with men. A typical father probably will not make that question. There are some likely reasons for this, either he is open minded or he suspects that you might be gay (either from gut instinct or other clues). The reason is not important for now. It is delightful that he covered this subject in a caring manner.

Your dad encouraged you to talk to him about anything and I encourage you as well to share your concerns with him. It will bring you closer. You did mention that your dad might have old school thoughts on the gay issue so yes you can enlighten him on how things are today. I believe that the gay community is much more educated about sexually transmitted diseases compared with past and with str8 people. Talk to him as long as you dont treat him as your best buddy telling him details that might put him off. Keep it real and decent.

To the people that downloaded the winrar program: please DELETE it. If you have run it run an antimialicious software (if you have not got one I suggest adaware, you can get it for free from download.com)

The upload contained a Trojan horse named TR/Delpi.Downloader.Gen. This was my fault as I did not check the files before I uploaded them (I am quite new to the file sharing bussiness)

My sincere apologies to the ones that were affected by this.
