I think I fixed the issue. I believe it is my NordVPN. I am using the split-tunneling feature. I turned that feature off and now I seem to be connecting.
First as Mr Mazda says it mostly sorts it self out. Just let things happen.
Second, if you've downloaded anything and haven't deleted the file, your torrent client should pick it up if you try again after downloading the torrent file anew.
I read this morning that there were issues with our tracker …, I guess your problems were related to that and had nothing to do with your settings or the restart of your torrent client programme.
