@herbert967 and rejection is a constant element of being gay for all the non-stereotypical men in the gay community, and rejection from straight men for gays is very common, just like for a lot of straight men with girls. We don't win this "kind and open-minded" challenge, not anymore I'm afraid since Grindr appeared to give a mask to all the assholes between us.
The only advantage in my opinion is philosophical, unless you're extra-masculine, muscular, urban, white and privileged with a western culture (I mean, capitalist). Then it can be a lot of fun for you, although your love life may be pretty scarce if you fancy one
