I second More Than This. Patrick Ness is gay and that really shows in his work. Unfortunately I've found his output to get worse and worse, the last book I read of his was totally awful.

They're still doing Of Mice and Men too. I studied that, Macbeth and Inspector Calls. Loved Macbeth and Inspector, loathed Of Mice and Men.

Twin Peaks: The Return is , I think, the greatest achievement i've ever seen on the small screen.
Also, Happy Valley is the most immediately addictive shows I've watched.

Has to Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The entire message of that film really resonated with me.

Not Del Toro's finest but the film geek in me loved the references to The Innocents, Rebecca and Deep Red.

I'm not a huge fan of Pixar, Wall:E is the only film they made that I really love.
Studio Ghibli produce the greatest animated films in my opinion, especially Hayao Miyazaki.

I'm a huge fan of Italian horror. Argento's work is great (well anything pre-1990s). French horror is also great, Eyes Without A Face and more recently Martyrs. Asian horror also never fails to scare the shit out of me.

Requiem For A Dream by Darren Aronofsky.

Love her, she belongs in a David Lynch movie.
