I actually have windows xp still :). Anyways I tried the way you said just in XP format.
I opened notepad as admin, went to file > open > changed files of type to all files > > Windows > system32 > drivers > etc > I have 5 files, hosts (which is what I opened) lmhosts, networks, protocol, services. anyway I opened hosts, it tells me this is a file containing mapping of ip addresses, anyways it shows my ip along with local host then it showed another ip possibly my own with www.gaytorrent.ru then tracker.gaytorrent.ru after another different ip. So what I did was is delete www.gaytorrent.ru and the ip address then saved the document. I haven't tried restarting yet, ill give that a try and let you know if it changes or not.
In the past when gaytorrent went down I wasn't able to get on. Then I heard it was back and tried getting on but I kept getting an error saying something along the lines of a DNS problem. so I googled a solution because I didn't know how to contact the website and I ended up changing my DNS to where it worked with gaytorrent. Just recently after the changes made to the server recently I have been having problems and am unable to download/upload. I will let you know if it works or not after rebooting but I am not sure. Thank you for your help.
