Semitic means Arab. Because it refers to the languages Phoenician, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic.
Phoenician is a dead language.
Aramaic is spoken by only a few Syrians.
Hebrew is not spoke by modern Jews - they speak Yiddish and several other languages.
Arabic is the only group left that Semitic refers to.
This has to do with a mistranslation. Anti-Semitic means someone who is bigoted against someone who speaks a certain language, and literally nothing to do with Jews. Yet they have leveled this Anti-Semitism against Arabs, who are the majority Semites, to anyone who disagrees with Israel or it's policies. It's absurd. There is a difference between Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionist. But if you dare speak against Israel then you're an Anti-Semite. It's sick, but it's the world we live in.
