I believe in responsibility. If you want to get an abortion, fine, I'm not going to lose sleep at night over it because it's none of my business. It IS up to the mother to decide, because she will ultimately influence the man anyway based on her instinct and do what she feels is best, however, I also believe that once the child starts brain activity after five weeks, it is a separate entity that she is now responsible for, although sometimes disastrous news occurs after the five week period. When a woman gets an abortion, it is usually because either A) she feels that she is incapable of being responsible for it, or B) the child will be incapable of living the life the mother thinks it should have. If it's both, then her instinct is the ultimate question, but if it's only one of the two, more consideration should be given. Some think the government should really have no say, but it does because A) every circumstance is different, and B) the people can't stop fighting about it or figure it out because our society has lost its way and we continue to ask the elected ones to make the right decisions for us. What we should do is come up with a system of acceptance or rejection based on the circumstances. If she was sleeping with all kinds of dudes and then just decides she doesn't want it, that's not good enough. If she was raped, ok, up to a certain point after finding out. The only solution is in the middle and to compromise with each other, because sometimes it is ok, and sometimes it's not.

Liberals are all for abortion, but against the death penalty even when said criminal has committed atrocities… I'm ok with abortion within the first five weeks, after that, forget it. It's not YOUR body anymore, brain activity is beginning, and it's now a body inside your body and it has it's own mind and it's own body. If you disagree, you disagree. I don't like the question "pro-choice," "not pro-choice." It's the liberal way of asking the question and clearly indicates the questioner's bias, and if you really want an abortion, and weren't raped or discover the kid is going to have a severe condition, do it yourself, pay for it yourself, don't make me pay for it! I shouldn't have to pay for you being unable to shut your damn legs ya filthy whore!

Being African American, and Native American, I get really tired of people like you thinking that a minority group has to justify aligning themselves with the majority no matter the topic, this should somehow be held against them, especially when you don't care about the history or context to the truth of the situation.  The reality is people like you, don't care about the truth, nor do you care about the subject at hand, you simply want to complain about your own prejudice and racist views.  African American had to fight for the right to be seen as human beings,  for their rights to vote, and the freedom to choose. While the majority, heterosexual, cis, white males had this right given to them at birth. African Americans don't have to justify a godd*mn thing to YOU.

If, as you said, you support other gay men's right to marry, then just shut it and end there. No one is forcing you to get married. You're free to do as you see fit- and that is what everyone else has been fighting for- the chance to live the life they CHOOSE- which is to get married or not.

Speaking as a gay man coming from a country where we're denied the right to get married, it saddens me that you can't seem to appreciate how good you've got it over there. In my country people don't recognize the relationships that I get into. I may not be in a serious relationship now, but it would be nice to have the OPTION to marry the man I finally wind up wanting to spend the rest of my life with.

There's power in symbolism and ritual- and marriage is one such ritual and symbol that society places value on- and straight couples here have the right to demand respect and privileges for their relationships that I could never do. Gay marriage is very bad for gay people. As a gay man, I support your right to marry, but you're not getting the bigger picture of how this really hurts people in general, because you don't understand the law, or how the government works, and most gay people just don't get it. This really should have been a first amendment issue, that you have the right to religious freedom and therefor you have the right to marry who you choose (because marriage is a religious institution), but you guys didn't make it about that because you don't understand the Constitution.

Let's say you go out to get your license to marry… Just like you would get a license to practice medicine, or a license to practice law, or a license to hunt or fish, or a license to drive, or even a license to smoke marijuana, etc. A license requires PERMISSION, and this is the difference between FREEDOM and LIBERTY. In order to get a LICENSE, you have to APPLY. Application or Apply means in LAW to BEG for PERMISSION. Now you will notice that when you APPLY for a JOB you get it and you are not given the FREEDOM to work there. You are given the LIBERTY to work there. Liberty is what a sailor gets when he asks for permission to leave the ship. He doesn't have the freedom to leave. It's very different, because the government cannot give you a license to rape, murder, or steal. They can only give you a license to do things that are already LAWFUL to do, meaning you never needed permission, hence the reason gay people were already getting married before this all happened and you thought you were being given freedoms but in fact you were simply begging for permission to do things you already lawfully had the right to do.

It astounds me and I am ashamed of my gay family who doesn't get these basic concepts because all they do is go out to the raves at Miami Beach and act like they know everything when in reality all they know is victimhood culture and pretend that they are just poor persecuted souls - the lack of wisdom is your weakness - you don't understand how the government works. And that's why it's taken this long to even get where we are, which is in the wrong place, still.

Number One: The national debt has continued to go down by billions of dollars since he has taken office. As far as I am aware, that has NEVER happened before, or at least in a VERY long time. Also look at all the job creation going on, millions of new jobs, and for the first time in a long time, those jobs aren't only in the "service sector." Just a few examples of improvements that have already happened in such a short time. The argument that he is incompetent doesn't really stand and it's way too early to tell.

Number Two: The only argument left is that Russia used ads to dupe the left into voting Trump, which is absurd. If you did get duped by Russian ads, well, you're not too bright now are you? The idea that he didn't win the popular vote is meaningless. There are more people in New York and California, but you obviously don't understand the concept of a Republic. This isn't the United States of California.
