I never changed from briefs to boxers. Growing up in Australia in the 80s, no one wore boxers. Everyone wore basic coloured hipster briefs (really boring). However, I desperately wanted to change to "tighty whities" briefs.
The only guys I ever saw wearing them were on American movies and TV shows and I thought they were so sexy and mature. Little did I  know that every American boy was trying not to wear them and change to boxers instead.
When I was about 15, I managed to convince my mum to buy me briefs that had a fly front. Initially she bought me coloured Jockeys because she thought these were more "modern". But the next time I needed new underwear, she  bought a 5 pack of Classic Jockey Y-fronts because they were cheaper. I was so excited - I couldn't wait to get home and tear open the pack so I could try them on. They are still my favourite type of underwear.

I don't go chasing underwear to sniff, but when the opportunity presents itself, I'll invariably lift the underwear to my nose. It happens without me making a conscious decision to do it. Admittedly I've never encountered gross underwear, so thankfully I've never been disgusted by my actions. But I have enjoyed the aroma of some hot guys

The first time was when I stayed at a mate's house and I slept in his brother's room. When I was making the bed the next morning I found a cum stained pair of pale blue hipster briefs pushed behind the mattress. I just had to take them and figured he wouldn't ask if anyone had seen his cum rag.

A few years later, I was staying with a straight couple, and I had the biggest crush on the gorgeous boyfriend. I saw that his girlfriend had done some laundry and there were multiple pairs of his trunks hanging on the clothes line. I decided I would wash some of my clothes and hand them out as well. Then, would you believe it? When I took the dry washing off the line, I had accidentally taken some of his underpants and mixed them up with mine. I confess to doing some dreadful things in those trunks over several months. He looked so hot when I saw him wearing them  - I still have a pair as a trophy.

I haven't worn them since - they sit amongst some of my other trophies.

When lounging at home with no one else bothering me I always get down to my undies. Watching TV, on the Net, cleaning, working - all are better when you're just in your underwear.

Oh God Yes! But they have to be your traditional style jock - Bike, Duke, McDavid, etc. The newer style "fashion" jocks are just way too femme for me.

Clean preferably but its great if there's a bit of body odour there as well.

I have a long term straight friend who is the hottest guy I know and who has endured the long term crush I have for him. Whenever I stay a couple of days at his (and his girlfriend's) place I also do a load of washing so a pair of his underwear can "accidentally" get mixed up with mine.
Over the years I've "accidentally" taken home a couple of pairs of Jockey boxer briefs, some Bonds briefs, trunks and boxers.
I've also given him some CK trunks for his birthday to improve his wardrobe.

Jockey Y-fronts are supremely comfortable and they look hot.
Second best are CK original briefs and the original boxer briefs - they were brilliant.
I'm less impressed with the microfibre or blended ones - give me 100% cotton all the time!

Classic white and basic black are the perfect colours for underwear.
Black looks great on everyone and can help disguise less flattering features 
White is stylish, looks clean and goes transparent when wet - perfect!

Definitely a time and a place for each - jockstraps are really only for exercise and sex. Boxers are great on hot days in loose pants. Normally I stick to briefs to be somewhere in he middle.

Much prefer uncut - being cut myself I find the texture of the foreskin and the way it moves on the other guy's cock hypnotic/addictive and I can't leave it alone. I like them to be trimmed if they're really hairy…I hate getting pubes in my mouth.
