Long distance relationships just don't work but that's okay because really neither do any other relationships in the end.

Although I've been in LDR for years, separated by schools and work and too expensive travel costs. I guess it depends a bit on what you want to get out of it and how you define a relationship. If you need direct sexual contact often then I guess it doesn't work. I'm content with the occasional cam sessions and knowing that feelings can travel any distance. Also I enjoy my personal space a bit too much I think. I won't lie though, I miss the skin-to-skin contact a lot when we're separated for too long. Again, I think it depends greatly on how secure you both are in your feelings and what your personal needs are. In general, I would say No, it doesn't work. But there are exceptions to every rule.
