I will never forget the feeling when I defeated Emerald Weapon.

Currently waiting for KH III on PS4. Final Fantasy 0 will be a good filler while waiting for it

I know it is old school RPG and involves a lot of grindings, but if you enjoy good ol' JRPG, this is one of the title you should try.

I bought my 3DS solely for one game, i.e. Kingdom Hearts 3D
Got to say I am disappointed because the game is very short, and lack the 'over the top' combat feel from the original series.
However, the new battle system make up for it. So, that is my first suggestions.

Next is Pokemon X & Y. I choose X, so if you planning to buy Pokemon, please choose Y and add my FC.
Then we can trade. But, this game gets old fast, but manage to keep me happy for 200 hours.

Then, if you like bad pun mixed with Detective story, I suggest Phoenix Wright.
But, the 3DS title only available through e-shop.

My friends suggest Shin Megami Tensei 4 and Fire Emblem. But, I have not get my hand on it since I am busy wiht Darksider 2 and Final Fantasy X - HD remake.
