The latest mainstream, Awards-hungry gay flick. It's reviewing pretty well but, interestingly, it seems writer-director Harry Mcqueen isn't gay and in interviews he's expressed sentiments to the effect of "love transcends sexuality." Which makes me apprehensive that the choice to even feature a same-sex couple might be little more than some outwardly progressive branding. Perhaps I'm being too cynical though.
Colin Firth taking up the gay mantle again since A Single Man. Though is Stanley Tucci not a weird casting choice (I mostly associate him those dreadful Transformers movies)?
Who here has seen it? Any thoughts?

RE: Its a sin
I actually couldn't stand the show. The Walsh character as simpleton, who dies cheap and early. The black friend as handmaiden with no character outside of AIDS caregiving. Most of all, outside of cutely snappy montages, the show didn't feature a single sex scene. Don't want to linger on any of that for too long or might yuck out the straight audience I guess...
