@spam17 Yes when I came out after 34 years of marraige (my wife passed away, I was able to be who I really am, a man who is romantically attracted to men. I am 69years, so coming out has it's challenges. When I was young, there was very little support or understanding of the gay community. There really was not much of a community. The question of whether being gay was a choice, or an internal inevitability was not asked out loud. The majority of people when asked would answer it was a choice, and a perverted one at that. I now fully believe that I was born this way, and the more I open up to this, the happier I get. So yes,I believe for me there is an advantage being homosexual, because that if who I am. It's the real me, and I love being gay. I love acting gay. I'm not a obnoxious gay person, but I love sharing my gayness, if you will, with those I meet.
