bought Sleeping Dogs for my Mac, it's about all that runs on here that I'm interested in playing. Not a bad game though, played through it once or twice on my PC back in the day.

RE: What game genre you like?
I pretty much only play FPS, though ranging from competitive arena stuff to single player story based FPS. Also like open world games like GTA and also The Witcher, that's about as rpg as I get.

RE: FPS?
Battlefield, though I haven't played the new one yet. Unreal Tournament would also rank as an all time favourite, despite Epic not having released a decent instalment in the series since 2004. Also getting back into Team Fortress 2 at the moment, though it can be hard to find a good server.

RE: Last album you bought?
'Electric' - The Pet Shop Boys. That was in 2013, been streaming ever since :crazy2:

RE: Electronic music to relax to
'Selected Ambient Works 85 - 92' - Aphex TwinSo I wouldn't recommend any of his other albums, and there are some more spooky and sinister tracks on this album that I'd avoid, but there's some really great chill music too, I often listen to this on my way home from work, the first track always makes me feel happy.
'Howl' - Rival Consoles
Some nice pure ambient, although a bit too melancholy for some.
'4' - Boozoo BajouSome nice electronic jazz fusion, sounds like a movie soundtrack for a spy thriller.
'Pure Heroine' - LordeYeah I know, top 40, sellout, pop is trash, whatever. This is a solid, down tempo album, stripped of any excess, and with a great performance by her. One of the best debut albums in recent memory.

RE: What song are you currently listening to?
Edge of seventeen -Stevie Nicks
…one of my favorite singers and one of may favorite albums! :cheesy2:
Just put me in the mood for some Wild Heart!

RE: Netflix Suggestions
Depends on what you're into. I'm a big fan of 'Flaked', if only because I love Will Arnett. I actually didn't like it the first time I watched it, but didn't have anything else to watch after Luke Cage finished, so went back and rewatched it and loved it. It's definitely not a straight up comedy though, I think that's why some people dislike it at first, it's more a funny drama about a guy seeking redemption and trying to move forward with his life.
Oh and since I mentioned it, Luke Cage. Maybe not quite as good as Jessica Jones for plot, but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayumn! :blind: :cheesy2:

RE: Do you watch more reality tv or acted shows
…assuming that your reality TV shows aren't acted of course
No I like either factual information shows and documentaries, or scripted dramas and comedies. I have no time for reality tv.

RE: Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it
Finally got around to watching 'Zodiac' (2007), the movie about the police investigation into the Zodiac killings in California in the 60s and 70s. Really excellent detective movie, highly recommended, all of the cast were in top form (Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jnr. and Mark Ruffalo especially). I'd seen the ending of it on TV once and had always meant to rewatch it from the beginning, the ending was just as scary the second time around even knowing what would happen. Really not one to watch in the dark if you scare easily, or not unless you're into that sort of thing

RE: Hottest male game character
Actually I'll revise my answer, I have a thing for Adam Jensen from the Deus Ex games, in my mind he has some special 'leisure' augmentations in has pants just for me. Yeah I know, I need help, but whatever I can live with it

RE: Hottest male game character
Also agree with @thrasherr:
I thought Franklin in Grand Theft Auto 5 was pretty damn sexy. Though I'd probably better have a chance with Trevor seeing he's bisexual.
Agreed, although in my mind Franklin's just in the closet
Had a crush on my male Shepherd in Mass Effect 1 & 2, and a few of the other male characters too. Never did manage to bang them though

RE: What is the last game you bought?
San Andreas on Mac. I know, I know, but it was about all I could get that I was remotely interested in, and would run on my system. Seriously thinking about getting a PS4…

Camera Porn
What, not a single photography thread on this forum? Oh well, here goes…
Recently upgraded from my trusty ol' Olympus OM-D E-M1 to a shiny new Fuji X-Pro2, and have been loving every minute of it so far. Picked up the camera body, the XF 23mm 1.4 (35mm equivalent), and the 50-140mm f/2.8 (70-200 equivalent) for the not insignificant sum of $5300, and I'm still waiting for the standard zoom which is on order and not yet paid for. But one look at the files the Fuji can produce and I was convinced I'd made the right investment.
As much as I loved my Olympus, the image quality just didn't cut it for me anymore, especially given the amount of work I do in Photoshop to my files. That and I feel the Olympus system forces you to accept several significant compromises in image quality, compromises which just aren't necessary anymore. Like for example an image sensor half the size of a 35mm frame, because that allows the camera to be smaller. Obviously Sony didn't get the memo on that one, offering both APS-C and full frame cameras that are equal in size or smaller, and it's the same with Fuji. I think the APS-C sensor is a far better compromise between the low-light capabilities and 'depth of field' of a full frame camera, and the more compact size and smaller, lighter lenses of a crop format system. That and it just looks fucking cool.
For the type of photography I do (landscape, street, some portraiture), it really is a perfect fit. The tonal range, colour and high sensitivity performance are all superb. I love using the window viewfinder with the 23mm lens, as that's the field of view that the window shows. And not being an SLR or electronic display, there's zero lag. And for the times that I do need to see down the lens and see exactly what's in the frame (like when using the telephoto zoom), an electronic viewfinder can pop up inside the window finder. Only the Japanese would go to such lengths to engineer something like that, and make it work without fail every time - it's truely amazing. If I had one criticism of the camera, it's that I keep going to press buttons and move dials that aren't there, because I used my previous camera for such a long time, but that's hardly Fuji's fault, just something I'll have to get used to.
So, that's my gushing rant over with. What sort of gear do you use?

RE: What is the best game you've ever played?
Either Fallout - New Vegas, Deus Ex, or GTA III: Vice City. I know, I know, showing my age and all…

RE: How do you hide your porn?
lmao hiding porn, some fond memories there. Takes me back to the early 00s, hiding porn from the parents within .zip archives, as the operating systems back then didn't have native support for them. And then When Windows XP finally understood what a .zip was, hiding a .zip archive in a .zip archive because Windows couldn't see beyond the first stage of a compressed folder hierarchy. These days though I have my own computer, and the files themselves are stored on a password protected, encrypted drive in case the computer ever gets stolen, or I need to let someone else use it.

RE: Mac or pc?
Used to be a PC builder and user, but just grew tired of keeping up with the latest and greatest serial numbers from a million different manufacturers, all of which inevitably meant nothing because without any new software specifically designed for that hardware, the end result was a computer that did exactly the same things in the same way. That and when I jumped ship it was during the era of Windows 8.1, possibly the worst piece of design I've ever had the misfortune of using. That and I rarely play games on a PC these days, and found that for my work the iMac was incredibly good value - sure a PC tower is cheaper, but to buy a stand alone screen with equivalent specs to the Retina 5K iMac makes any pricing difference negligible, not to mention Apple's excellent customer service and support.

RE: Tracker down?
Same issue here, torrents aren't downloading or uploading, with the active torrents showing 'http error 502' as the reason for not connecting.
