    • RE: Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it

      I have also seen "El príncipe (The Prince)", Argentina (2019), and I liked it very much. The main actors were unknown to me and I liked them. It's also hard to see, but good.

      I'd rate it with an 8 out of 10.

      I found the teaser with subtitles in English:

    • RE: Top 100 Greatest Gay Movies (Check this out!)

      Good list, but there are some more recent ones missing there.

      I choose "Shelter" as my top number 1 right now.

      A Spanish movie called "Toro" (Bull), 2016, pretty good (if you can speak Spanish) to watch, a bit violent, but with very good Spanish actors.

      Out of 10 I would rate it as 8,5.

    • RE: Do You Know This Film?

      Sorry, I meant if you had watched those two movies you mentioned.

      Thanks for the answer.

      @kalayaan:

      @andergarcia:

      None of them… Have you watched them? Would you recommend them?

      What do you mean none of them? I was replying to the author of this topic, but to your 2nd and 3rd question

      Yes I have watched both films.

      Personally I would not recommend both, but I am not stopping any members who wants to watch these 2 films.

    • RE: Gay couple allegedly asked 'to stop what you are doing' in London restaurant

      What kind of "excuse" or justification is "stop what you are doing please, this is a family restaurant."?

      This is SO homophonic… that stuff member should be fined for "hate crime"!  ???
      At least, in Spain this would be a typical reason to fine that person for that crime.

    • RE: At least one LGBT player in every football team

      Of course, but why is it so "difficult" (or they are so afraid of) for them to come out? There are other jobs where coming out seems to be easier than in sports, and especially in football.

      @raphjd:

      Of course, there are gay players in every sport.

    • RE: Favorite Gay Themed Movie ?

      Maurice (1987) is one of my favorite classics. I watch it once in a while because I love that movie!  :love:

      @bearbearbear:

      If you enjoy very British films, here are a couple from the 1980s that I would consider classics:

      Another Country (1984)
      https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086904

      Maurice (1987)
      https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093512

      Many of the films I watch I discover through the "More Like This" feature on IMDB that showcases up to a dozen films.

      "The titles listed in the 'More like this' section are generated from a variety of information, including genres, country of origin, actors, and much more."

      There are also users' lists on IMDB that can be helpful.

      @JohnAllenson:

      But I raise my eyebrow at the translation.
      "Meine Schwiegertochter ist ein Mann" = "My Daughter-in-Law is a Man" not "All you need is love."

      It's not a translation but an alternative title.  Very frequently films are given different names for different markets, especially when there is a language difference but sometimes even in the U.S. vs. the UK.

      Meine Schwiegertochter ist ein Mann is a German made-for-television comedy for general viewing audiences.  In the U.S., foreign-language films are not considered suitable for the mass market and are released in just a few urban "art-house" theaters plus on DVD or (these days) by streaming.  My Daughter-in-Law is a Man would not be an appealing name for a film with a mostly-LGBT+, English-speaking audience because it is from the viewpoint of the mother.  The chances of an average American seeing this film was almost zero and even for a gay man, there was never much of a chance.  Probably the only way to watch it in the U.S. today, so many years after release, is by torrenting.

    • RE: Horror movies

      I already answered in a previous thread about a favorite classical horror movie (A Nightmare on Elm Street).

      Also, one of my favorite ones is Poltergeist and all the parts. I love those movies, too.
