Error (unregistered torrent)
-
I keep getting this error in Vuze under the Tracker Status column: "Error (unregistered torrent)"
It seems to be happening quite a bit, but only with torrents from this site. Sometimes I managed to download some of the file before the error, but quite often I get the error right at the start and get nothing. The really annoying thing is I can never find the page I downloaded it from again, even with the search function. The most recent one is only a day or so old, and its already dead.
The only thing I can think of is that the torrent might have been removed by staff for rule infringements or as a duplicate. Would it be possible, instead of simply deleting all the duplicates straight away, for staff to perhaps mark the torrent as a duplicate and have the download link send you to the page for the original upload? This would make things so much easier for us. The original uploader would still get his credit, but it would give the rest of us a way of getting the file we've already started downloading.

Duplicate torrents are removed from the public list first, but still tracked. They are removed when no downloading peer is seen (or the uploader stopped seeding and isn't restarting it, despite being asked).

Ah, didn't know that. So how come I keep getting messages about unregistered torrents?
EDIT: Just realised I should really have put this in the "Downloading" sub-forum. Could a moderator move it please?

I've been getting them lately as well. But it seemed to start around the time I switched to Transmission GUI 5.01 (Windows) a couple of weeks ago. But since the torrent continues to download and upload, it really wasn't an issue.
Currently, I'm seeing it on "KeptSecretXXX - Drug Bust". So, if that file was reported as a dupe, then I guess we're the same page of "non-issue", which just leave the question of "'Why am I still here and not wankin'?" (The question of a lifetime.)
