Comments Removed

Another user and I were making comments about the LGBT themed merits of a film and the rules. For some reason, all the comments except the first three were removed. I would really appreciate knowing what I did wrong. I believe the comments were appropriate and thoughtfully made. Has anyone else had this happen? Do you know why? I thought we were free to make comments as long as they were not rude or inappropriate.

I don't know why the comments were removed.
You are right, "thoughtful and appropriate" comments are allowed.

It is me who has removed the comments. You and the other engaged in a conflictual discussion about the rules, leading nowhere.
I know from own experience, that when such exchanges start, they can take a unforeseen bad direction.
Seen the exchange, I've decided to remove those which discuss the rules and leave only the first expressing the lack of LGBT theme of the movie and wait for "someone" to report it.
I was tempted to make a comment, that a discussion about the LGBT(Q) Theme rule should be made in the Forum, rather a torrent comment.
For information: you where reported for harassing comments
Regarding that movie: when looking at that upload, I've had doubts on it's LGBT(Q) theme however the IMDb keywords where including:
bisexuality, ménage a trois, penis, masturbation, anal sex, male nudity, male frontal nudity, …and there is the screenshot where a man gives another man a handjob in bed with a woman. So in doubt it was left by me in the list as supposed gay themed.

Glad to know what happened. From my point of view: I had no idea with whom I was corresponding. I believed the person was actually attacking my comment. To me, I posted "not LGBT" and then "someone" responded with a verbal inducement "who said it was". That put me on the defensive. Sorry to use the rules to justify my actions, I had no better ammunition. When I've seen a movie and know it doesn't match the declared content of the site, I get protective. Perhaps overly so, but I don't want to see GTRU devolve into a pirate bay where the only lgbt content in a film is that the lighting assistant is openly gay. Or in this case - one man touches another mans penis for two minutes in an hour and a half long movie.
Anyway, I'll try to cool it.

Sorry to have :cens: your above post. I made a mistake in my first reply.
One comment about low or lack of LGBTQ theme in the movies plot is OK. Reporting it for that, so that some staff is looking at it, too (even perhaps better).
Just please avoid heavy insisting about it in the comments. You'll see it leads nowhere else than creating a conflictual ambience.

Got it. No more reporting for me.
Even just a hint of gay (or a penis) makes a movie okay!
:cry2:

That was not at all what has been meant. Reports are OK. Please report it, if you think a torrent isn't gay themed (enough).
The treating moderator may decide to keep a torrent, in many cases I guess not being certain. You now well that often it isn't easy to come up with a clear cut "not LGBTQ themed" or "LGBTQ themed", especially if not having seen the movie. What I wanted to say, is please don't engage in the torrent comments in an intensive exchange if a torrent is gay themed. Express your opinion in one comment. That should be enough
