After all this "purge" of different sort of cheaters, we have to be possitive and think we're in the begining of a "portal" Torrent, serious, with quantity of stuff, one reference in a Torrent gay places.
So now more than never we have to give our support and colaborated in the way possible for everyone can. Place grows with good people and time rewarding all our efforts.
Gaytorrent.ru is our place.

I'm sorry, but I understand nothing of what you're saying.
-
I don't understand either.
After struggling with my ratio I can start downloading again. And from what I see the dl's are slow like they have never been before (avg at 15K). This site has lost thousands of users due to new rules. Just look at the snatch count on each file, before rationator2 the count was in the thousands now most files are in the low hundreds.
Successful P2P community relies not just on quality of the connections but also the number of them. with fewer leechers there are fewer seeders. Many of the leechers, although they did not keep their ratio rationator2 compatible, were fast uploaders. Their ratio might have been low not because they weren't sharing but because they were downloading almost everything.Fact: With the a shrinking user base you can not get a successful P2P community.
TBH I don't know what's they point of a torrent site if it isn't fast, might as well go back to emule with millions of users and files.

Look at the bottom of the home page.
Torrents 8,418
Seeders 54,532
Leechers 6,553
Peers 61,085 {seeders + leechers}That means that for every leecher, there are 8.32xxxxx seeders.
You are correct, we did lose about 10,000 users in the last few months. HOWEVER, the vast majority were cheaters and duplicate accounts.
The problem we are facing is that people don't understand the concept of traffic management and can't be bothered to read the information on the site. Only 185 people have read my traffic management guide and several of those were members of staff.
How much speed are you going to get from a user who is running 20 torrents with an upload speed of 60kB?! Well, that averages out to about 3kB for each torrent.
We have also lost several power uploaders because they were upset with the formerly low ratio requirements. There is no reason that a torrent should die in less than a week, especially with hundreds or thousands of downloads. This is especially the case with the non porn torrents, but even the porn torrents are hard hit by it.
-
… the dl's are slow like they have never been before (avg at 15K). ...
Your download speed is not a matter of our site, only a matter between peers because we do not host any content, only the seeders have the files available.
As raphjd already pointed out, the number of seeding members has increased a lot (from ~3 seeders per leecher before rationator 2 became active to currently 8.15 seeders per leecher) as a result of our new ratio policy - I see it as advantage.
BTW: some of our members seem to think they can get some bonus for seeding > 100 files at the same time. (Or at least will get seed bonus for each file). Sorry to disappoint you, guys, you get seed bonus points only once for the seeding time, not for each seeding torrent.
Seeding > 100 torrents with an upload bandwith < 10 KB/s - you can calculate yourself how many bandwith remains (in average) for a seeding torrent this way. I call such behaviour nonsense, due to not reading the available help on our site. I'm preaching against such senseless behaviour since I was a moderator myself - currently I'm getting tired of having to tell the same things again and again despite our available help and how-to guides.
This site has lost thousands of users due to new rules.
Thousands of users due to our ability to enforce our ancient rule: don't create duplicate accounts. Thanks to the enforcement of our staff (and the invite only feature) we are now able to have a better eye on duplicate accouts. How many users try to cheat on us: on the 1st of september there were created more than 1100 accounts, at least 500 of them were duplicate accounts.
Thousands of users because of rationator? How - only if those users delete their account themselves (because they don't bother to read the note on the rationator 2 requirements posting in our forum).
I don't know of a single member which was banned because of low ratio. Not by me, not by any of the staff members. I know of a lot of members though which where banned because of ratio cheating to circumvent our ratio requirements. To say it bluntly: I'm not sorry about them.
Just look at the snatch count on each file, before rationator2 the count was in the thousands now most files are in the low hundreds.
Do you really believe that a file would be snatched more than 200,000 times with a user base of 80,000 users? I don't!
These unbelievable snatch counts result also from broken BitTorrentclients which report a "Torrent download is finished" (which counted as a snatch for that torrent) whenever you stop downloading that torrent for whichever reason. We started to fix those messages - you can see the result At least I can believe the snatch count now.
Fact: With the a shrinking user base you can not get a successful P2P community.
You think we can do that with a cheating, only leeching user base???
TBH I don't know what's they point of a torrent site if it isn't fast, might as well go back to emule with millions of users and files.
See my remarks to a "fast torrent site" at the top. If you read the FAQ and follow the link to the "Torrent FAQ" there, you would know about the facts how bittorrents work.
Hope I could clarify some of your misconceptions.

Let's face it, if you are so unhappy about the decisions made by the admins of this tracker, no one is forcing you to stay

No one here gave me an honest reply. All I read above is something about cheaters?!?
I was simply refering to people blocked from dl and not deleted account (I wonder what is this number). People who don't dl don't participate in the ul!
I bet most of them will not or cannot fix their ratio from what ever reasons. Their account linger but they no longer come in, and the poor dudes who tried to register a new account without rolling their IP first got bashed.Just to be clear I'm not against a fair ratio, I don't mind to share and upload and I did so before the new rules and have stayed afer the new rules.
I still don't get this post. Without new registrants and with many users blocked I see nothing but a grim future for GT.

I gave you an honest reply. The fact that you don't like what I said does not mean I am a liar or in some other way being dishonest in my reply.
I was simply refering to people blocked from dl and not deleted account (I wonder what is this number).
I have no idea what that number is. Maybe the admin know, but I don't.
I can tell you that we went from a high of almost 93,000 users at the end of June 08 {pre ratinator 2.0} to our current 82,000+ users due to getting rid of cheaters and duplicate accounts.
People who don't dl don't participate in the ul! I bet most of them will not or cannot fix their ratio from what ever reasons.
As I have said in several threads now, most people did nothing in the six months they had before the new ratio requirements went into effect. We gave a 6 month warning of the new rules.
As an example, one member routinely hovered at the .350 ratio all the way until the new requirements came into effect, then bitched like crazy because he could now longer download. He like many said they are here only for the porn and don't have time to read the home page or the forums, so he didn't know about the new rules. He wasn't a one off, as a lot of people did that.
There are a few things that the staff can do to help users, but they have to ask for the help and few actually do ask for it until it's way too late. I am currently helping several members get their ratio up into good standing. NO, it's not some sort of favoritism. I'm doing it because they asked for help and have shown that they are trying. I don't have time to hunt down members and beg them to let me help them.
Just to be clear I'm not against a fair ratio, I don't mind to share and upload and I did so before the new rules and have stayed afer the new rules.
The old ratio was killing the site. We couldn't get torrents to stay alive more than a week or two. That angered many of our power uploaders {not to be confused with power seeders} and several left because they were fed up with their torrents dieing so quick.
When we dropped the ratio requirement for christmas, things got even worse.
Some drastic changes were desperately needed and ratinator 2.0 is the result.
I still don't get this post. Without new registrants and with many users blocked I see nothing but a grim future for GT.
We have the invite system and open registrations on the first of each month. This was in response to all the cheaters and duplicate accounts we were getting even when we had .250 as the required minimum ratio. How sad is that, a lot of people were cheating with the ratio that damned low?!
As for the picture, it doesn't shock me at all. As I said before, no one has a concept of traffic management.
-
Cheaters don't do anything to help torrent speeds, and odds are anyone with a second account only has it because their first account has a low ratio. There's no reason to keep those people around. That's kind of the point of a private torrent tracker.

I was simply refering to people blocked from dl and not deleted account (I wonder what is this number). People who don't dl don't participate in the ul!
The big problem is the people who DO dl but who don't want to participate in the UL. They haven't figured out that their dl has to come from somewhere, and that it's other people uploading who make their dl possible. They don't realize that for everyone with a 0.22 ratio, there's someone else with a 1.78. It all evens out in the end, except for those who get booted or just quit.
I bet most of them will not or cannot fix their ratio from what ever reasons. Their account linger but they no longer come in, and the poor dudes who tried to register a new account without rolling their IP first got bashed.
Those who cannot fix their ratio likely have waited only long enough for their download to finish, then stopped it, watched the movie they downloaded, then deleted it. To fix their ratio, all they would have had to do was NOTHING! Just leave it alone, and their computer will seed until their ratio is fine!
Without new registrants and with many users blocked I see nothing but a grim future for GT.
If the current users remain, what will make things so grim?
Uploaded: 138.66 GB
Downloaded: 213.62 GB
SeedBonus: 20.000 <–- That's 40 hours of seeding, less than 2 days.
Avg ULSpeed: Ø28.85 kB
This is an interesting picture. And for another one, click on your own user name. You have many torrents uploading, but as I write this, 12 of them have nobody downloading. 18 do. Of the 12, most have at least 10 other people standing by to upload, so you can safely stop them, concentrating your efforts where it will do more good.
There are some things you can do to help things work better, so things are faster for you and so you will have a better experience. The first thing is the```
[F] DownloadingFind out what your ISP lets you upload and download, or run a speed test yourself at www.dslreports.com/speedtest then set your limits to something less than that. If you are limited to 50k/sec uploads, and try to send 60, not all of it will get through, and your download will suffer because your requests get lost! This likely is the problem you are having, because your downloads have lots of seeds. Try limiting your uploads to 10 or so, your downloads to 3, and stop forcing it. I bet things will work better. And don't forget, you don't have to wait, your computer can do the work itself while you sleep. The computer doesn't care if it was done 10 minutes before you came back,or 10 hours. But if it was 10 hours, your ratio will likely look a lot better.
