I never used to have items taken down for copyright rules. Am very careful to not post content I don't see has same studios and performers all over website, but take downs happen.

A user can be banned after a certain nu7mber of take downs. Anyone know what the limits are and if they are certain number withing a specified time frame.

Posting this because just had a take down of a video posted numerous times in other formats

@jsantana-0 there are no publicly available guidelines about this, the rules only state that recurring infringement might lead to account termination, but we cannot even be sure that this rule is enforced or if it's just there for the sake of being there.

that said, before any ban you will get a 90-day upload restriction and at this point if you are smart enough you will stop trying to contribute with new uploads.

OK, so no hard guideline. I have been restricted for 90 days before.

For years this never happened and now seems to. I try hard not to post anything I have seen from experience gets taken down or see must have eben taken down because disappeared from site while I was downloading.

Anyway, as mentioned I just had a video that was a new format of one posted many times taken down. So I'm figuring one month break from uploading to make sure not identified as frequently posting videos taken down despite best effort to avoid?

            • receiving a multitude of takedown requests regarding material you have uploaded, your upload privileges are hereby revoked for 90 days.

            • 3 DMCA strikes and must wait for another 89 days before you can upload again.

            • The site has the right to terminate the account of repeat copyright infringers.

Repeat infringers are users who repeatedly upload, download, or share copyrighted material without authorization, triggering multiple copyright complaints. Under the DMCA, online service providers must implement policies to terminate these users in "appropriate circumstances" to maintain safe harbor protection. Consequences often include account suspension, restriction, or, in severe cases, legal action.

in this case the best effort would be to refrain from posting something that you know has a high risk of being removed 😅

that said, best practice would be: post one single torrent and wait one or two weeks to see if it stays up. if it's up for more than a week, odds of it getting reported later are low.

if it's downed in the meantime, move on with life and don't try uploading again for a couple of months, to avoid getting multiple strikes in a row in a short period.

if it's still there after a week, you can consider posting something else.

It can behard to judge what will be taken down. For example, know Cutler's Den will be taken down. Keep list of anything know taken down. That's why curious I posted an upscaled version of a video posted 3 or 4 times before in different formats, etc.

But sounds like waiting a month for next upload isn't long enough.
