confusing 2257 statement section on porn sites
-
whenever i visit an unfamiliar site, I always check the 18 U.S. Code § 2257 statement section first. however, i came across a confusing passage and I'm lost. It might be a language barrier thing, but I’m struggling to understand the highlighted part. does it mean illegal stuff may appear? should i just take only the first part into consideration? can someone explain it to me like i'm five? it's from hotoldermale (there's others like this too):
"Compliance Statement:
All models, actors, actresses and other persons that appear in any visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct appearing or otherwise contained in this Website were over the age of eighteen (18) years at the time of the creation of such depictions.
All other pictures, graphics, videos or other visual media contained in this production are exempt from the provision of 18 U.S.C. Section 2257, or any amendments thereto, and 28 C.F.R. 75 because said visual media do not consist of depictions of conduct as specifically listed in 18 U.S.C Section 2256 (2) (A) through (D), but are merely depictions of non-sexually explicit nudity, or are depictions of simulated sexual conduct, or are otherwise exempt because the visual depictions were created prior to July 3, 1995.
The records required by Title 18, Section 2257 of the United States Code are kept at the office of the producer at the following location.."
so, should i worry? hotoldermale/pantheon and older4me seems like a big companies and are up to 20 years in the market.. I don't think they would put illegal content on their website
but i don't know how this works, so i dont know if i should be worried ️

@roadhog2001-0 Well, Perry Mason, Matlock, F Lee Bailey and Johnny Cockring are all dead - so I don't know who you could put on retainer to do a thorough check.

@roadhog2001-0 you are disregarding the previous statement, which is the only statement that matters.
Any person that appear in any depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct were over the age of 18 at the time of production, and all records are kept, as required by law.
The subsequent statement indicates that the website might contain media that is exempt from this specific law (record keeping) because it doesn't contain sexually explicit conduct, or because they were produced prior to the existence of the law, when record keeping was not required.
To put it shortly, they are not required to keep age records for content that is not actual sexually explicit conduct, like nudity or simulated sex, and lastly, content that were filmed prior to the law.
The reason for this disclaimer is, one might request age records for a specific production, and they don't have it, not because it is illegal, but because said production is exempt from record keeping for one or another reason.
