Meta dials back how much political content users see
-
Old but worth a note.
"Meta is rolling out new changes to Instagram and Threads, automatically limiting the amount of political content users see from accounts they do not follow."

If true - could lead to normies calm down a bit.
NPR has funny subheader tho. NPR says
Here's how to opt out of that
NPR means: How to opt IN to inflammatory content when you only went to check niece's wedding.
That's where NPR world at. "Stay in the Matrix! Oops we mean stay not-opted-out! Fight the power!"
Instagram users quickly started noticing that their default settings had changed to limit content that is "likely to mention governments, elections, or social topics that affect a group of people and/or society at large," as the app now puts it.
...the move is in line with a yearslong shift away from news across Meta's services. Last year, the company's executives said Threads would not boost posts about news and social issues, angering many [ed: NPR-NPCs] who turn to social media to stay up to date.
... how to undo it...
