Why is this one torrent file not downloading for me?
-
I tried yesterday and it didn't work in Safari, so I tried again in Brave then I tried again today and it will not download. Other torrent files will. What's going on with this torrent file, 50 people are seeding, so the problem has to be on my end.

@Richiroma You are in a low ratio state. When this happens, the system will only allow you to download ONE torrent at a time, which I see you are already downloading. This is why it's not working.
-
@MrMazda I think I misstated the problem. I can not download the torrent file, I can (and did) download several other torrent files but only this one will not download. As far as starting the torrent files, I just downloaded three simulates files on my computer and they downloaded fine.
BTW, how can I have low status when my ratio is above one and I have multi terabytes uploaded?
-
@Richiroma The only thing I can think of is that your system does not support some of the non alphabet characters in the filename of the torrent file. What OS are you running?
-
@MrMazda The newest version of Sarari on a MacBook Pro. I'm in Japan, and everything around me is in Japanese, so it sounds odd. I did just check and the kanji coming out coded. I don't know how to change that when downloading a file. When dealing with a webpage, I just change text encoding.
Any ideas?
-
@MrMazda I'll be damned, changing text coding on the webpage made it download. Thank you.
-
@Richiroma Yes... It needs to support UTF-8
-
@MrMazda Actually, I spoke too soon. It did not download. I just tried it with UTF-8 and that didn't work either.
Do you know if there's a way to copy the link without downloading the file so I can just paste in the torrent address?
-
@Richiroma Not that I'm aware of....
-
@MrMazda Irony or ironies, in Japan and can't download the Japanese torrent because of kanji problems. lol
Oh, well. I'll just get it over on amule.
Looking over other torrents, it might have to do with the file length. With the encoding problems, the torrent file name is really long.
Thanks for your help.

Don't bother downloading this type of content ...
Name too long [over 100 character] ... once the torrent remove from your client,
This causes an error issue from renaming, moving, copying and deleting files ...
