Rep. Mike Johnson elected 56th Speaker of the House

You should know who you're celebrating.
-
Name one opinion that YOU @hubrys have changed since 2003.
Hint: There better be at least 50, or else you're a stupid dick. (Well you are already. But ykwim.)
Scott Adams says, nobody should be quoted on what they wrote 20 years ago. I disagree slightly. They should be quoted if it's still their opinion today. IF.
Also - to begin with - "celebrating" - Really? That's your hallucination.
I'd say "noting".
-
@blablarg18 Seeing as he tried to pass a Federal equivalent of Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill, I don't really think his opinions of the gays has improved. In fact, he's one of the most homophobic members of Congress.
-
@hubrys In other words: You can't name one. You haven't changed any opinions since 2003. Sigh.
-
@blablarg18 I don't have to. Your argument is irrelevant. You're trying to use the concept that people change SOME opinions over time to prove that, for certain, he's changed THIS SPECIFIC opinion over time.
Except you have no evidence for that belief. The vast examples of his recent commentary and actions prove otherwise. He's still a homophobe.
-
2004
-
2005
Too bad he was a frequent opinion writer. Just google and I'm sure you can find many more than I did in just 5 minutes of searching.
-
@hubrys 2004. Ooh, 19 years instead of 20. You got within Scott Adams' (not my) 20-year limit.
In other words: You have no idea what Speaker Mike in 2023 would do about gays, or how far it would get, whatever it was. None.
Wonder if I should even clue you in to the fact that a great many conservatives oppose him or are at least very skeptical, for various reasons?
Again - "celebrating" - was you hallucination.
-
-
Which ignores most of what I said.
So funny to see you think you have some great point when really u spew ur own insanity & fear.
Reminds me of our original encounter when u thought, with ZERO evidence or reason whatever, that MTG had swatted herself & should be arrested.
Another thing Scott Adams says is: MSNBC & CNN should be watched with a laugh track. They're comedies about people who just don't understand a thing.
I read your comments with a laugh track
One thing Speaker Mike has: he seems to be relatively pro-free speech. A GREAT DEAL more than you @hubrys are.
We will have to see if it holds up. But to repeat: "Seems". (And "we'll see.")
And free speech cancels homophobia.
-
@blablarg18 said in Rep. Mike Johnson elected 56th Speaker of the House:
One thing Speaker Mike has: he seems to be relatively pro-free speech.
Yup, the author and lead sponsor of the Federal "Don't Say Gay" bill is very pro-free speech. </irony>
-
There was never a "don't say gay law". It was something you people made up in your headsbecause you want to groom kids.
You also called ma an asshole because I'm against giving k-5 kids pornography.
-
@raphjd Word "homophobic" is ironic becuz people who speak it most, themselves show phobia symptoms.
@hubrys is afraid.
Your starter comment here didn't "celebrate" - He hallucinated that.
Pressed for what triggered his hallucinations, he came up with
-
Many years ago, Johnson wrote in support of opinions also held by hubrys-idols Obama, Biden, Hillary & Bill.
-
Other people fear Johnson too, from similar crap in their heads.
Do we need a new word? Homophobiaphobia.
Even if - 100% hypothetical, imaginary - Johnson went homophobic now, so what?
It would get about as far as that time Jeff Sessions tried to shut down weed - remember that? - no, because it went nowhere.
UNLESS of course, USA has no free speech - as appears to be case under DEM rule / Biden Regime.
Free speech is everyone's refuge - and today, is most threatened & limited by libs.
So hubrys falls back to: Well Repubs don't like groomers. And THAT restricts speech or is homophobic, uhhh, somehow.
Which, pathetically, circles the discussion back to real issue for these libs:
-
-
@raphjd Another fake Christian and Trump-asslicking traitor. More like this guy, please. They are serving the GOP brand very well.
-
@raphjd Forcing a child to say the Pledge of Allegiance, to pray, to go to church....that's grooming.
Allowing a child to have an honest conversation about their feelings is adult and humane. But not a right-wing priority, of course.
-
Today news: Speaker Mike wants to continue USA-Ukraine money laundering op.
Even though Ukraine corrupt af, & also lost, & Israel more important rn, & USA in bad shape / in great need of aid from itself.
As I said. Many conservatives oppose him or skeptical of him - for various reasons.
-
So, you support giving K-5 kids pornography, as well as Hubrys.
That's very much a notorious pedo act of grooming.
BTW, I'm an atheist.
-
@raphjd Have to wonder if they were raped/molested as kids? Since they struggle with Generational Boundaries, such a basic concept.
-
This may well be the case.
Studies seem to vary wildly on this. Some say that most pedos were never pouched as kids while others say that most were molested as kids.
I think a lot of modern pedos are just liberals caught up in all the queer crap.
